Objective:To summarize clinical characteristics of ICDVT (Isolated Calf Deep Vein Thrombosis) and to observe clinical effects of TCM intervention by observing ICDVT patients and comparing with other DVT patients.Methodology:Totally67cases of confirmed ICDVT patients have been investigated to observe and summarize clinical characteristics. Among these,40cases that correspond with determined standards of shirexiazhu-symptom are selected as observation group to compare with40cases of other types of DVT shirexiazhu-symptom patients set as comparison group. Clinical symptoms, signs and laboratory indexes of the two groups during medical treatment process are then observed and compared. Results:ICDVT cases showed higher diagnosis failure rates as well as misdiagnosis rates comparing to other types of DVT, and are usually caused by certain pathogenic factors. These cases have significant differences with other DVT cases in clinical symptoms and signs. General rates of treatment effectiveness are100%for both observation group and control group, however, significant difference in statistical analysis (P<0.01) has been revealed since cure rate of observation group (42.5%) is obviously higher than control group (15%).Conclusion:The study discloses that ICDVT have unique characteristics in pathogenic factors, clinical symptoms, diagnosis and treatments, and TCM intervention have significant effects on ICDVT treatments comparing to other DVT cases.
