Objective The epidemiology was carried out in City Hefei in order tosurvey children asthma’s current incidence rate、distribution characteristicsand risk factors. The purpose was providing basis of prevention andmanagement. Method Determining the sample size was according to theestimated prevalence of pre-set, the survey sensitivity, allowing the error.Extracting sample is by randomly stratified cluster sampling.Sampleallocation ratio of each age group were set in accordance with the totalproportion of children in Hefei. Centralized access and dispersion modewere applied in the investigation.Childhood asthma and allergic diseasesscreening table were filled. Screening-positive children were diagnosed orexcluded according to the diagnostic criteria of the2008Chinese Journal ofPediatrics. Counting prevalence rate of asthma through investigation andanalyzing the differences of each age were by the chi-square test. Thechildren who were diagnosed asthma were required to the diseaseCase-control study, in the same time,,matched control group of childrenalso entered the study. All children entering the study complied with strictinclusion and exclusion criteria.。The tables which we used were compiledby National Pediatric Asthma to assist the group capital of child research, asthma Anti teach center. All data were input to the Epi-Info entry, whichwas developed by U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Center.Logistic univariate analysis and logistic regression analysis were used inorder to find risk factors.Results1Prevalence the Overall prevalence rateof childhood asthma is5.89%, the prevalence rate of male is6.30%andfemale is5.30%,there are significant differences between male and female. the prevalence rate under3years old is4.46%, the prevalence rate of age3~7is7.74%, the rate of age7~12is5.74%and the prevalence rate ofage12~14is5.44%. the prevalence rate of age3~7is higher than othersand there are of great differences.2Univariate analysis Family allergichistory, allergic rhinitis, eczema, smoking, premature and breastfeedingare related to asthma.. Logistic regression analysis. The odds ratio inthe above factors in order are9.63,7.56,4.58,2.16,1.73,1.55.Conclusion The prevalence rate of male is higher than the female, theprevalence rate of age3~6is higher than others. The risk factors arefamily allergic history, allergic rhinitis, eczema, non-breastfeeding,,smoking,premature. Of the above factors, the effections are followed by familyallergic history, allergic rhinitis, eczema, non-breastfeeding, premature, smoking. In order to prevent asthma,we should treat allergic rhinitis, prohibit smoking family members, insist on breastfeeding and reasonableuse mechanical ventilation,do prenatal care to prevent preterm birth.
