Integrative Treatment Of Primary Trigeminal Clinical Observation Of Neuropathic Pain

Object i ve:To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture combined with western medicine in treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia,by clinical symptoms and cure rate, to analyse the mechanism of action in the combined treatment of electroacupuncture and Western medicine, seeking an effective method for the treatment of this disease.Method:to select60patients in compatible with primary trigeminal neuralgia diagnostic criteria,randomly divided into two groups by treatment orders, the treatment group (acupuncture group), control group (control group),30cases in each group, the treatment course is10days. Referencing Traditional Chinese Drug treatment of trigeminal neuralgia Guidelines for clinical research issued in2002to assess the differences before and after treatment.Results:the two groups are effective for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, the treatment group in the total efficiency was97.6%, western medicine group in the total effective rate was86.7%. After statistical analysis,P>0.05,There was no significant difference,the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.Electroacupuncture with western medicine can significantly reduce the number of episodes and the degree of pain in patients with idiopathic trigeminal neuralgia.2.Electroacupuncture with western medicine on the efficacy of primary trigeminal neuralgia is similar for only western medicine’s (carbamazepine), and no adverse reactions.
