Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and the impact of anxiety degree,sleep quality index of insomnia patients treated by electro-nape-acupuncture.Methods:Sixty patients conformed to diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of insomnia,were randomly and equally divided into two groups.The treatment group treated by electro-nape-acupuncture,while the control group treated with Estazolam tablets.In the treatment group,we operated bilateral Fengchi and Gongxue by electric acupuncture apparatus with the sparse wave,2Hz for30minutes every morning,6days per week,4weeks for a course of treatment,and a month for observation of healing efficacy.In the control group,1mg Estazolam tablet was taken by each patient one hour before going to bed.Results:(1)In the evaluation score of PSQI,there is a statistically significant difference in the treatment group and the control group before and after treatment(P<0.01).and factors in each group including sleep quality,sleep latency,sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep disturbances and daytime function,were the same(P<0.01);There is no statistically significant difference between the two groups after the treatment(P>0.05),and also factors in each group,including sleep quality,sleep latency,sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep disturbances and daytime function,were the same(P>0.05).(2)In the evaluation score of HAMA,there is a statistically significant difference in the treatment group and the control group before and after the treatment(P<0.01).(3)In the evaluation of clinical efficacy,there is no statistically significant difference between the treatment group and the control group after the treatment(P>0.05),healing rate of the treatment group was100%,and healing rate of the control group was96.67%.Conclusions: (1)The clinical efficacy of the treatment group is equal to the control group,and both the two groups can improve sleep quality,sleep latency,sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep disturbances and daytime function of insomnia patients.(2)Both the two groups can improve the anxiety degree of insomnia patients,but the treatment group is superior to that of the control group.(3)The clinical efficacy of the treatment group and the control group is the same.
