Objective: Preeclampsia is a multi-system disorder of pregnancy whichseriously influences the health of maternal and child. It may result inpreeclampsia, cerebral hemorrhage, kidney failure, fetal death and so on. Theincidence of preeclampsia ranges from3%to7%in nulliparas and1%to3%in multiparas. At present, insulin resistance, injury of maternal vascularendothelium, oxidative stress, placental ischemia and hypoxia, genetic andimmune are thought the important reasons of preeclampsia. Adipose tissue isgenerally considered as an organ which can secrete a variety of biologicalactivity proteins which include apelin, adiponectin, resistin and so on. Apelinas an adipokine and inflammatory cytokines plays important roles in manypatho-physiological courses of inflammation reaction, immune response, cellgrowth and apoptosis. Adiponectin is not only a kind of hormone formetabolism adjustment, but also a kind of inflammation cytokine networkinhibitors. Adiponectin plays its anti-inflammatory effect through three kindsof mechanisms including direct action on inflammatory cells, interaction withTNF-α and NF-kappa B. Resistin involves in the body’s patho-physiologicalcourses of many diseases which causes oxidative stress by inducing themitochondrial dysfunction and unbalancing cellular redox enzymes and causesinflammation reaction through the activation of P38MAPK and phospholipidsenzyme C signal pathways. Through studying the changes and the correlationof expression level among apelin, adiponectin and resistin in the serum ofpreeclampsia, we hope provide strong theoretical basis for clinical treatment.Methods:1The study subjects:(1) the experimental group:40women withpreeclampsia(20women with light preeclampsia,20women with severe preeclampsia) who had prenatal examination and delivered in the Obstetrics ofthe Second Hospital of HeBei Medical University were random selected fromOctober2010to October2011.(2) the control group:30healthy pregnantwomen who had prenatal examination and delivered in the Obstetrics of theSecond Hospital of HeBei Medical University were random selected fromOctober2010to October2011.Only serum samples from women withoutmulti gestations, diabetes, heart disease, chronic hypertension, chronic renaldisease, chronic liver disease and immune disease were considered foranalysis.2The experimental method:4ml of fasting cubits venous blood was collectedin the morning and then centrifuged for10minutes by3000r/min. The serumseparated was saved in-70℃refrigerator to measure the level of apelin, adiponectin and resistin using enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay.3Statistical analysis: the data was analyzed by SPSS13.0software wrap. Themeasured data was showed in mean±standard deviation. Single factoranalysis of variance, SNK-q inspection method, t-test and Pearson linearcorrelation analysis were involved.Results:1The serum apelin level in the severe preeclampsia group (92.39±8.09ng/L)is significantly higher than those in the light preeclampsia group (68.46±6.49ng/L). The serum apelin level in the light preeclampsia group(68.46±6.49ng/L)is significantly higher than those in the control group(51.02±5.82ng/L).2The serum adiponectin level in the severe preeclampsia group(4.59±2.01pg/ml) is significantly lower than those in the light preeclampsiagroup(7.21±2.82pg/ml). The serum adiponectin level in the light preeclampsiagroup(7.21±2.82pg/ml) is significantly lower than those in the controlgroup(12.03±3.25pg/ml).3The serum resistin level in the severe preeclampsia group (28.75±4.9ug/L)is significantly higher than those in the light preeclampsia group(21.64±4.03ug/L). The serum apelin level in the light preeclampsia group(21.64±4.03ug/L) is significantly higher than those in the control group(13.91±4.39ug/L).4In the severe preeclampsia group, the serum apelin levels correlatenegatively with the serum adiponectin levels(r=-0.597, P <0.01), the serumresistin levels correlate negatively with the serum adiponectin levels(r=-0764,P<0.01); In the light preeclampsia group, the serum apelin levels correlatenegatively with the serum adiponectin levels(r=-0.786, P <0.01), the serumresistin levels correlate negatively with the serum adiponectin levels(r=-0.528, P<0.05); In the control group, the serum apelin levels correlatenegatively with the serum adiponectin levels(r=-0.636, P <0.01), the serumresistin levels correlate negatively with the serum adiponectin levels(r=-0.540, P <0.01);Conclusion:1There is certain expression of apelin, adiponectin, resistin in severepreeclampsia patients, light preeclampsia patients and healthy pregnantwomen. With the progress of preeclampsia, the serum apelin and resistin levelgradually raised, the serum adiponectin level gradually reduced. Apelin, adiponectin and resistin may play certain roles in the pathogenesis ofpreeclampsia.2Apelin and resistin as adipokine which can cause inflammation reaction andinsulin resistance involve in metabolism adjusting of glucose and lipid, inflammatory response, angiogenesis and the adjustment of immunity. Theymay be related to the occurrence and development of preeclampsia.3Adiponectin which is not only a kind of hormone adjusting metabolism, butalso a kind of inflammatory cytokine network inhibitor may inhibit theoccurrence and development of preeclampsia.4In preeclampsia patients, the serum apelin levels correlate negatively withthe serum adiponectin levels, the serum resistin levels correlate negativelywith the serum adiponectin levels. They contact closely and play a role in theoccurrence and development of preeclampsia, which may provide powerfulexperimental theory basis on the prevention and treatment of preeclampsia.
