Background:Insomnia is a clinical common disease which featured as usually unable to have normal sleep patterns. The research indicated that the number of female insomniac is1.6times than male while the total morbidity of insomnia is57%. However, there are few references about curing insomnia among female, specially aimed rarely at the insomnia which takes over the longest period of females of childbearing age. Although the insomnia is not a part of critical illness, the long-term insomnia affects patients’daily life and dramatically increased the dangerous of other illness. The insomnia has become the medical issue which is worth to be concerned.Purpose:In order to find better treatment for insomnia (type of Ganyuqizhi) in Chinese medicine, we cure Insomnia using adjusted Chaihulonggumuli Decoction with menstrual cycle-regulating therapy and Shumian Capsule to observe the clinical effect contrastive and evaluate objetive to the efficacy difference of the two drugs especially for adjusted Chaihulonggumuli Decoction with menstrual cycle-regulating therapy.Methods:From Apr2011to Mar2012,collect insomniac (type of Ganyuqizhi)who diagnosed by Mr. Gu Xizhen Director from Neurology clinics of Nanjing University Of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Use RCT according to international criteria of Insomnia diagnose and outcome measures.60patients with insomnia met the criteria were divided into two groups randomly.Control group:30patients cured by Shumian Capsule; treatment group:30patients cured by adjusted Chaihulonggumuli Decoction with menstrual cycle-regulating therapy.Period of treatment will be28days for each group. Observe healing effect before and after treatment according to PSQI and Athens.Results:For control group,the total effective rate is93.33%and effective rate is76.67%but for treatment group is80.00%and33.33%.After doing comparative analysis for control group and treatment group,we find that it is exist Statistic difference for the improvement of Insomnia (p<0.05) but treatment group have obvious advantage with respect to the improvement of some syndromes (p<0.05). The final result shows that:adjusted Chaihulonggumuli Decoction with menstruation-regulating series have better performance in terms of Clinical symptom improving.
