A Comparison Study Of The Therapeutic Effect And Safety Of Three Kinds Of Combined Therapy On Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy In Cold And Dampness Type

Objective:To compare the therapeutic effect and safety of three kinds of combined therapy on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy in cold and dampness type.Methods:One hundred and twenty three patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy in cold and dampness type who met the criteria were randomly divided into3groups.Patients in group A were administrated with traction combined with Steaming Washing Therapy and musculoskeletal manipulations,patients in group B were administrated with traction combined with Steaming Washing Therapy,while patients in group C were administrated with traction combined with musculoskeletal manipulations.The score of symptoms and signs were recorded before the treatment,after one week’s treatment,after the end of the treatment and one month after the end of the treatment respectively.The clinical therapeutic effect were evaluated according to the score of symptoms and signs one month after the end of the treatment.The routin analysis of blood,urine,liver function,renal function and electrocardiography of the patients were performed before the treatment and after the end of the treatment,and all adverse incidents were recorded during the course of the treatment.The therapeutic effect and safety of the three kinds of combined therapy were compared and analyzed. Results:There was no statistical difference in the score of symptoms and signs among the three kinds of combined therapy(F=0.650,P=0.524). There was statistical difference in the score of symptoms and signs among the four points of measurement time(F=1248.072,P=0.000).Further analysis showed that there was statistical difference in the score of symptoms and signs between any couple of points of measurement time(P=0.000)and the tendency of decline of the score of symptoms and signs were found in all groups.There was no interaction between therapy and points of measurement time(F=0.481,P=0.805).There was no statistical difference in the general clinical therapeutic effect among the three kinds of combined therapy(χ2=1.882,P=0.390).No severe adverse incidents were found during the course of the treatment and there was no statistical difference in the safety among the three kinds of combined therapy(χ2=2.531,P=0.282).Conclusion:As long as unified training,standard operation and strict choice of patients were fulfilled,such combined therapies were all safe and effective on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy in cold and dampness type as traction combined with Steaming Washing Therapy and musculoskeletal manipulations,traction combined with Steaming Washing Therapy and traction combined with musculoskeletal manipulations,and there is no difference in the therapeutic effect and safety among the three kinds of combined therapy.
