Objective1. To observe the expression of c-Met and CD105in the tissue of serous lesions in epithelial ovary2. To investigate the relation between clinicopathologic features in serous epithelial ovarian carcinomas and the expression of c-Met and CD105and explore the effects of c-Met and CD105on the meaning of development, invasion and metastasis of serous epithelial ovarian carcinomas;3. To study the relation between c-Met and angiogenesis of serous epithelial ovarian carcinomas in behaving of CD105MVD, to provide the new target of the treatment and prognosis of serous ovarian carcinomas. Methods Ninety-five tissues embedded by paraffin were studied which surgically excised in Tianjin central gynecology and obstetric hospital from January in2010to January in2011, including twenty-eight cases of high-grade serous epithelial ovarian adenocarcinomas, twenty-one cases of low-grade serous epithelial ovarian adenocarcinomas,twenty-five cases of borderline serous epithelial ovarian adenomas, twenty-one cases of benigh serous epithelial ovarian adenomas. Their clinical data were collected including age, histological types, FIGO stages, peritoneal cytology, pelvic or para-aortic lymph node metastasis, size of residual cancer, the immunochemistry expression of p53in serous ovarian adenocarcinomas, the level of serum cancer antigen125(CA125), carbohydrate ntigen CA19-9(CA19-9) and human epididymal epididymis protein4(HE4) before surgery. The immunohistochemistry method was applied to determine the expression of c-Met and CD105.Results1. The positive rates of high-grade serous ovarian caicinomas, low-grade serous ovarian carcinomas, serous borderline epithelial ovarian adenomas and benigh serous epithelial ovarian adenomas were39.3%,76.2%,56.0%,52.4%; There was statistical difference among the positive expression of c-Met in low-grade and high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma(P<0.01). There was no defference between low-grade serous carcinomas and benigh and borderline adenomas(P>0.05); There was no defference between high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma and benigh and borderline serous ovarian adenomas(P>0.05); The mean level of CD105MVD in high-grade serous epithelial ovarian carcinomas, low-grade serous carcinomas, borderline serous ovarian adenomas, benigh serous ovarian adenomas were12.9±4.7,5.4±1.5,3.8±2.0,1.0±1.3;There was significant difference between high-grade serous ovarian carcinoas and other three ones(P<0.01); There were statistical difference between low-grade serous ovarian carninomas and benigh ones(P<0.01), There was no defference between low-grade serous ovarian carcinoma and borderline serous ovarian adenomas(P>0.05); There were statistical difference between borderline serous ovarian adenomas and benigh ones(P<0.01).2. There were statistical difference of c-Met in peritoneal cytology of serous ovarian carcinomas(P<0.05); There were statistical differences of CD105MVD in the different FIGO stages, histological types, pelvic or para-aortic lymph node metastasis, size of residual cancer, and the level of serum HE4before surgery in serous ovarian carcinomas(.P<0.05).3. There was no relevance between c-Met and CD105MVD (P>0.05).Conclusions1. The positive expression of c-Met in serous ovarian leision correlates with hyperplastic activity regardless of atypical degree of tumor cells:The positive rate of c-Met is higher in negative peritoneal cytology than in positive one; The positive expression of CD105MVD in serous ovarian lesion gradually increases with the malignant transformation of tumor cells. The positive expression of CD105corelates with FIGO stage, histological type, lymph node metastasis and size of residual cancer. They may involve in the occurrence, development and metastasis of serous ovarian carcinomas.2. There is no correlation between c-Met and CD105implicating other factors may involve in cancer angiogenesis.
