ObjectiveTo study the expression and clinical significance of TLR4、P-gp in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues.Methods[1]50epithelial ovarian cancer cases were chosen from the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Qingdao University, which were consisted of forty four serous glands cancer, three mutinous adenocarcinoma and three clear cell carcinoma.According to the clinical stages, sixteen cases were in stage Ⅰ,three were in stage Ⅱ,tweety nine were in Ⅲ and two were in Ⅳ.Ten normal ovarian tissues were also chosen.[2]Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of TLR4and P-gp in specimens from ovarian tumor tissues and normal tissues.[3]Then collected the pathoclinical characteristics of these patients. The data was analyzed by using statistical method performed by SPSS software version17.0to observe the correlations between the clinical factors and the protein expression. We also analyze the relationship of these two proteins.Results[1]The positive rates of TLR4and P-gp in50epithelial ovarian cancer tissues were62%and46%,which were much higher than those in normal tissues(20%and10%,x2=5.939、4.500,P<0.05).[2]They were much higher in the group of drug-resistant(40%、32%)than those in drug-sensitive group(22%、14%,x2=6.876、6.522,P<O.05).[3]The expression of TLR4was correlated with differentiation lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(P<0.05).The expression of P-gp was correlated with differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The expression of TLR4was associated with the expression of P-gp(r=0.392,P=0.005).Conclusions [1]The expression of TLR4and P-gp in epithelial ovarian normal tissues was low, which became higher after canceration.[2]With the higher expression of TLR4and P-gp,the drug resistance increased.[3]TLR4and P-gp were over-expression in human epithelial ovarian cancer, which had close relationship with multiple drug resistance.
