Long-term Clinical Results Of V-Y Tendinous Flap For The Treatment Of Chronic Rupture Of The Achillis Tendon

Objective To evaluate the long term results of the surgical treatment of chronicrupture of the achillis tendon using V-Y tendinous flap. Methods22cases with chronicrupture of the achillis tendon from August1996to July2011were treated surgicallyusing V-Y tendinous flap. The Arner-Lindholm method was used to assess the long termresults of surgical treatment. Results The mean period of follow-up was8.1years. ByArner-Lindholm method,6cases had the excellent results(86.36%),2cases had the goodresults(9.09%),1case had the bad results（4.55%）.The ratio of excellent and goodresults was95.5%. Conclusion The V-Y tendinous flap is a reliable method to treat thechronic rupture of the achillis tendon.
