Clinical Study On Arthroscopy Combined With The Treatment Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Fumigate On Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:With the aging of the Chinese social structure, more and more of the seni le knee osteoarthritis patients in a disease of painful, wandering in the expensive treatment of artificial knee arthroplasty and conservative treatment without apparent curative effect in the present situation, therefore, to try to reduce the burden of patients go to a doctor, to improve the curative effect for patients, this research through the retrospective study to discussion and research on the treatment of arthroscopic knee osteoarthritis senile knee osteoarthritis and arthroscopy combined with herbal Fumigation Treatment of TCM for senile knee osteoarthritis the curative effect of the contrast and use prospects.Materials and methods:A retrospective study was conducted to analysis the inpatients and Outpatient with KOA in jingzhou prefecture Hospital of Chinese Medicine Orthopedic department from May,2009to March,2012. According to see the doctor order of the patient, potted them into a control group (group A) and a treatment group (group B). The control group was arthroscopic surgery what treatmented knee osteoarthritis.The treatment group was arthroscopic surgery combined with herbal fumigation what treatmented knee osteoarthritis. We analysised and compared the change of effective rate at different time point one month,six month and one years after operationResults:1. One months after treatment, the effective rate was88.7%in the control group; The effective rate was93.3%in treatment group. The changes of effective rate in the treatment group after one months was no significantly different from that of the contr01(p=0.719>0.05).2.Six months after treatment, the effective rate was61.4%in the control group; The effective rate was82.3%in treatment group. The changes of effective rate in the treatment group after six months was significantly different from that of the control (p=0.043<0.05).3. One year after treatment the effective rate was54.4%in the control group; The effective rate was76.7%in treatment group. The changes of effective rate in the treatment group after one year was significantly different from that of the control (p=0.038<0.05).Conclusions:Arthroscopic surgery is an effective approach in treating Knee Osteoarthritis. But after a period of time, the patients have Knee Osteoarthritis again.Herbal Fumigation Treatment of TCM combined with Arthroscopic surgery is a more effective approach in treating Knee Osteoarthritis.It can be more effective to alleviate the symptoms of the patients, reducing their pain, and be in stable condition after treatment. Herbal Fumigation Treatment of TCM combined with Arthroscopic surgery is proved to have the advantages of low cost, simple operation,quick recovery,better curative effect in a period of time. They can be the first choice of in treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis, which is worth to popularize in clinic.
