Beneficial Effect Of Herbal Fumigation And Wash On Functional Rehabilitation After Artificial Total Knee Replacement

Objective This study explored the effect of traditional Herbal Fumigation and Wash therapy on functional rehabilitation after total knee replacement,and initially explored its mechanism.Methods The number of cases in this study was 60.From August 2017 to November 2018,60 patients with total knee replacement of knee osteoarthritis in our hospital of Department of Orthopaedics were selected according to the inclusion criteria.Patients were randomly divided into treatment group(Herbal Fumigation and Wash)and control group(hot water fumigation and Wash).Both the treatment group and the control group underwent preoperative management and postoperative rehabilitation training under the concept of rapid rehabilitation.The treatment group was given the Herbal Fumigation and Wash for 2 weeks after the operation,and the control group was given hot water fumigation.The age,sex,weight,preoperative hemoglobin,preoperative albumin,and preoperative,postoperative 2 weeks,4 weeks,and postoperative 3 months KSS scores,VAS scores,joint activity scores,etc.were recorded.All data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 20.0 software.Results(1)The two groups of patients were tested for age,gender,preoperative albumin,hemoglobin,body weight,etc,and the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05).(2)The scores of KSS in the experimental group before and 2 weeks after surgery were not statistically significant compared with the control group(P > 0.05).(3)The scores of KSS in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group at 4 weeks after operation(P<0.05).(4)There was no significant difference in the clinical score of KSS joint between the experimental group and the control group at 3 months after operation(P>0.05).(5)The KSS function score of the experimental group was better than that of the control group in the 3 months after operation(P<0.05).(6)The VAS scores of the experimental group were compared with the control group before and 2 weeks after operation,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(7)The VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group at 4 weeks and 3 months after operation(P<0.05).(8)There was no significant difference in the activity scores between the treatment group and the control group at 2 weeks and 3 months after operation(P>0.05).The activity score was significantly better than the control group at 4 weeks after operation(P<0.05).Conclusion(1)Herbal Fumigation and Wash could reduce the pain after total knee replacement of knee osteoarthritis,increase joint mobility and promote early rehabilitation.(2)The perioperative management mode and postoperative rehabilitation exercise of Chinese medicine fumigation combined with rapid recovery concept can shorten the postoperative rehabilitation process.(3)Herbal Fumigation and Wash is a safe and effective treatment,no obvious side effects and small adverse reactions.
