Objective:To investigate the expression of G3BP and OPN in different cervical tissues, and explore their mutual relations and significances in cervical cancer. Methods:Using immunohistochemicl method (two-step)to analyze the expression of G3BP and OPN proteins in52cases of cervical cancer tissue,15cases of CIN and10cases of normal cervical tissue. To explore the relationships between the two proteins expression and clinical stage, pathological type, differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer.Results:1. G3BP and OPN expressed mainly in cancers, partly expressed in CIN and normal tissues. Both were located in the cytoplasm.2. The positive rate of G3BP in normal cervical tissues、CIN tissues and cervical cancer tissues were respectively0%(0/10)、33.3%(5/15)、63.5%(33/52), with a up-regulated tendency. Among the three groups, there were significant differences (P<0.05).3. The positive rate of OPN in normal cervical tissues、CIN tissues and cervical cancer tissues were respectively10%(1/10)、26.7%(4/15)、69.2%(36/52), with a up-regulated tendency. Among the three groups, there were significant differences (P<0.05).4. In cervical cancers, the expression of G3BP in clinical stage Ⅱ and node-positive cases were significantly higher than clinical stage Ⅰ and node-negative cases (P<0.05), whereas no relations to histological differentiation and pathological type.5. In cervical cancers, the expression of G3BP in clinical stage Ⅱand node-positive cases were significantly higher than clinical stage Ⅰ and node-negative cases (P<0.05), whereas no relations to histological differentiation and pathological type.6. In cervical cancer, the expression of G3BP and OPN was positively correlated(rs=0.359,P=0.009).Conclusion:1. G3BP and OPN might be associated with the genesis and development of cervical cancer.2. The expression of G3BP and OPN may work together to promote the metastasis of cervical cancer.
