Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of acupuncture and phlebotomy on acutepharyngitis(Early stages).Methods:60patients with acute pharyngitis that met with inclusion criteria, weredivided randomly into acupuncture group and the bloodletting group. After excluding4cases,56cases were actually completed at the end. There were28cases in Acupuncture group whose acupoints were chosen as follows:Que shang(0.5cunhigher than Yintang),Lieque,Renying,Tiantu,Hegu,Neiting. The other28cases were Bledgroup, whose acupoints chosen were as follows: Shaoshang, small veins at the back of theears.Everyone in the two groups were treated once a day,and were observed for twodays. The improvement of clinical symptoms and signs was assessed by “The ClinicalEfficacy Assessment of Statistical Results Table”。The final conclusion was drawn after thedealing with the rating of the patients.Result:1、As the “The symptoms and signs of classification to quanticytables”show, after different treatments to the two groups, both of the treatments were quiteeffective with the extension of the treatment time.It showed that there were significant andvery significant differerces between the two groups by comparing the statistical analysisresults in the first and the second day(P<0.05, P<0.01).It showed that, the improvement ofclinical symptoms and signs of phlebotomy group was better than acupuncture group。2、When the treatment finished,we found that, there were significant decline than beforebetween the two groups from the clinical efficacy evaluation results form. And the groupcomparison had very significant differences(P<0.01).It suggested that the clinical efficacyof phlebotomy group is better than acupuncture group in dealing with acute pharyngitis in the primary period, especially in markedly effective rate and total efficiency. It showed thatthe effect of phlebotomy was better than acupuncture. Conclusion: Phlebotomy had a more rapid and significant clinical efficacy on acutepharyngitis(Early stages) than acupuncture.
