The Clinica Study On The Effect Of Zishenyanggananjing Decoction Treating With Premenstrual Syndrome

Objective: To study the clinical curative effect of ZishenyanggananjingDecoction intreating Liver-kidney Yin deficiency pattern of PMS.To discusses the mechanism fromhow it regulating ovarian hormones level and monoamine neural transmitter activity.Methods：50cases of screened Liver-kidney Yin deficiency pattern of premenstrualsyndrome patients were divided into2groups basing on a randomized, blindind, parallelcontrol method. The treatment group25cases were treated with Zishenyanggan’anjingDecoction, and the control group25cases were treated wih Qijudihuang Pills. Observe theimprovement of clinical symptoms and signs before and after two groups treated, throughthe "TCM symptoms score standard". And collect blood samples in a menstrual cycle offollicular period，oviposit period, corpus luteum period before and after treatment. Measurethe two groups’ serumen docrine hormone including estrogen(E2), progesterone(P),prola-ctin(PRL)and monoami neneural transmitter，including norepinephrine (NE)and serotonin(5-HT).Results: The treatment group’s total effective rate was92.0%and the control group’swas64.0%. The difference between the groups was signifycant(P<0.05); two groups ofsymptoms scale integration within the group compared before and after treatment werestatistically significant (P <0.05),after treatment, the scale scores between the groups weresignificant (P<0.05).After treatment, the treatment group’s E2significantly increased inoviposit period and corpus luteum period (P<0.05), and2secretion peaks returned tonormal; P also significantly increased in corpus luteum period (P<0.05), secretion peakreturned to normal level; but the control group’s E2peak was back to normal only incorpusluteum period (P<0.05). After treatment, the two groups’ NE in oviposit period andcorpus luteum period, PRL and5-HT in3periods significantly lowered compared with before (P<0.05)，the two group had significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusions: Zishenyanggan’anjing Decoction whose clinical efficacy was betterthan Qijudihuang pills,can obviously improve clinical symptoms of the Liver-kidney Yindeficiency pattern of PMS, and correct the level of E2, P, PRL,5-HTand NE. Itsmechanism probably was correcting periodical change of ovarian hormones in order toimprove the corpus luteum’s function, and then adjusting the synthesis and activity ofmonoamine transmitters. In this way, the disorganized endocrine and plant nerve functioncan restore balance.
