The Clinical Intervention Study Of Herbal Medicine Huang Lian WenDanTang On Subjects With Impaired Glucose Regulation

Objective: Study the clinical curative effect of Chinese patent drug “Huang LianWenDanTang” using the method of Qingre qushi expectorant huatan huoxue method withcombined therapy of sex way on patients with IGR and discuss the interventionmechanism.Methods: Taking the method of randomized, placebo controlled prospective parallel,60patients with IGR were randomly divided into treatment group (n=30) and the controlgroup (n=30). Treatment group received behavior intervention plus Huang LianWenDanTang treatment, and the control group received behavior intervention plus placebotreatment. Observation time last for3months, the main outcome measures are as follows:the clinical symptoms, the blood sugar, blood fat and glycated hemoglobin, insulin levels,body mass index, waist-hip ratios, etc.Results: The blood sugar, blood fat and glycated hemoglobin, insulin levels, bodymass index, waist-hip ratios, clinical symptom of the treatment group were obviouslyimproved, which showed significant difference from the control group. During the testsadverse reactions did not appear. And in a year later’s follow-up, diabetes conversion rateof the treatment group is lower than those of the control group.Conclusion: The compound method of Qingre qushi expectorant huatan huoxuemethod combined with behavior intervention has curative effect on IGR patients: decrease lipid sugar, reduce weight index and waist-hip ratios, improve the insulinresistance; the clinical symptoms of IGR can be obviously improved, the drug can besafely used and it may reverse IGR and delay the procedure of IGR to-DM, which provedthe validity of TCM treatment, and once correctly applied the TCM dialectical therapy toreduce glucose tolerance will have a broad prospect.
