Clinical Research On Zhixiao Decoction In The Treatment Of Mild Acute Exacerbation Of Bronchial Asthma And The Impact On Crp

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic efficacy of a Chinese herba prepraration (Zhixiao Decoction) in the treatment of mild acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma (asthma of cold type),and analyse the change of pulmonary function and serum C-creactive protein(CRP),for the purpose of evaluating its clinical efficacy.Methods:66patients with mild acute asthma attacks (asthma of cold type) were randomly divided into the treatment group (33cases) and the control group (33cases).The treatment group were treated with Zhixiao Decoction and the control group with HanChuanWan.Before and after the treatment,the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs、the changes of pulmonary function and serum C-creactive protein were observed.Results:1.Zhixiao Decoction has dramatical clinical effects on the treatment of mild acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma.The total effective rate was93.94%and the control rate was72.73%in the treatment group.The comparision between and after the treatment was significant (P<0.05)2.Zhixiao Decoction can significantly alleviate the symptoms of the wheezing sound in the throat like chicken、cough、expectoration and so on, and can reduce asthmatic breathing Sounds. Zhixiao Decoctionwas especially better than HanChuanWan in the improvement of the wheezing sound in the throat like chicken(P<0.05).The remission time of dyspnea was3.44±0.51days, and the disappearance time of dyspnea was9.58±0.61days in the treatment group.Zhixiao Decoction was more effective in remissing dyspnea than HanChuanwan.3.The FEV1and FEV1/FVC%were increased in the two groups and the changes were significant (P<0.05).Comparison between the two groups was insignificant.4.The serum C-reactive protein was decreased in the two groups and the changes were significant (P<0.05).Comparison between the two groups was insignificant. Conclusion:1.Zhixiao Decoction are effective in the treatment of mild acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma and can ameliorate the clinical symptoms and signs obviously. In the course of treatment,it had no adverse reactions.2.Zhixiao Decoction can improve pulmonary function effectly in the treatment of mild acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma.3.Zhixiao Decoction can decrease the concentration of serum C-reactive protein in the treatment of mild acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma.
