Initial periodontal therapy is the best effective treatment of periodontal disease. With the development of science and technology and improvement of people’s living standard,the patient pay more attention to oral health, the initial therapy was developed to fit the requirement.This study is to review the development and advancement of initial periodontal therapy in last ten years.
