| Objective: To survey the mental health of the oral cancer patients, inorder to improve the level of surgery and perioperative patients with mentalhealth, provide the basis for clinical psychological intervention and lay asolid foundation to improve patients’ quality of life and Survival rate.Methods: Using the Symptom Rating Scale (SCL-90) on119cases oforal cancer patients within1week of preoperative evaluation, the patientsaccording to the each item in the scale and giving an actual score, using theSPSS17version of the package scale assessment data for statistical analysisand comparison with the national norm.Results:â‘ Oral cancer patients with preoperative of the SCL-90total score and the number of positive items was significantly higher thannormal adult norm, including depression, anxiety, terror factor scores higherthan the national norm, interpersonal factor score below the national norm;â‘¡By gender comparison: Male oral cancer patients whose the positiveitems,somatization, phobic with were significantly higher than femalepatients; Female oral cancer of patients with depression factor scores weresignificantly higher than male patients;â‘¢Comparison of urban and rural patients with oral cancer:The anxiety factor scores of Towns oral cancerpatients were significantly higher than rural patients,The depression factorscores of rural oral cancer patients were significantly higher than the townpatientsâ‘£By age,The somatization and phobic of older oral cancerpatients (y≥60) were significantly higher than the middle-aged and youngpatients (y <60), The depression and anxiety factor scores of Middle-agedand young oral cancer patients were significantly higher than the elderpatients;⑤Comparation of different clinical stages in Cancer: thesomatization, depression, anxiety, terror and mental illness all factor of theâ…¢ and â…£ of oral cancer patients were higher than the â… and â…¡.Conclusion: The mental health of oral cancer patients before surgerywas poor, The psychological problems of depression, anxiety, terror wereubiquitous, and according to the patient gender, age, illness severity vary, Itshould be payed sufficient attention and targeted clinical psychologicalintervention to improve patients’ quality of life and treatment efficacy. |
