Private hospitals first appeared in our country is the1980s, it was not until after China’s opening up the health care market private hospitals have access to the development of vigor and vitality. In China, most private hospitals with a certain scale are gradually developed by the private clinics, of course, separated by the formation of the restructuring in part. As China further promoting health care reform and accession to WTO, the domestic demand for further expansion of the health care market, profits will also increase, therefore a lot of private capital began to pour into the medical industry, private hospitals has been growing in size and strength, the result is the medical industry competition gradually intensified. In the context of the new era, private hospitals are facing opportunities and challenges.With the market economy and the deepening health care reform, macroeconomic environment and a wide range of reforms, the survival of the hospital environment has undergone tremendous changes, development of the hospital facing a new crisis and challenges. In the past the20th century, although the hospital results in striking improvement of population health, but by the supply, demand, control of the tripartite composition of the formation of the medical market, for-profit and nonprofit hospitals pattern appears between the supply side restricting competition. In this context, the hospital medical services meet the essential characteristics of the introduction of performance assessment and management system, sustainable development is a strategic revolution in the hospital. Performance appraisal is the basis work of hospital human resource management; it is the main driving force to promote the hospital staff to improve work motivation, work ethic and job performance. For a recently established private hospital, the hospital staff as the main body, their work capacity and performance plays a crucial role for the entire hospital’s development and competitiveness enhancing.In this paper, by taking CK Hospital for example, through its existing performance appraisal system for systematic analysis of the current situation, it identified the CK implementation of hospital staff performance appraisal problems and causes of the problems. Through learning at home and abroad in the full theory and related practical experience, combined with the implementation of employee performance appraisal to achieve good results in successful experience of domestic hospitals, integrated use of performance management theory, such as management by objectives approach, to improve and optimize the CK Hospital performance appraisal system, aiming to establish a scientific, efficient, reasonable hospital staff performance appraisal system, to form encourage mechanism of respecting science, attracting talent, respecting and retaining qualified personnel incentives, exploring and improving employee performance appraisal system in CK Hospital, to provide reference of new ideas and new ways for other hospitals.
