Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of prophylactic treatment on lack of lactation with Chinese medicine after cesarean section, which reflects the advantages of treatment with Chinese medicine. Thus a simple, safe and effective treatment on lack of lactation after cesarean section can be applied clinically to improve the cure rate and long-term efficacy of this disease, so that breastfeeding can be carried out well.Method:This study contained60parturients after cesarean section.,Which were assigned into two groups stochastically. One was called observation group with Chinese medicine containing30examples, the other was called Control Group without Chinese medicine also containing30examples. The treatment group used formula of promoting lactescence, including Huangqi10g, Taizishen10g, Chuanxiong6g, Chaihu10g, Danggui10g, Wangbuliuxing lOg,yimucao30g to tonify qi and blood, ease Liver qi. The control group was with a blank control. Finally, the improvement of clinical symptoms, intervention of endocrine secretion and alteration of hormones level should be observed.Results:1. The comparable analysis of the two groups:There were no differences between the treatment group and the control group about age, pregnancy time, postpartum hemorrhage and weight of neonate. The two groups were comparable.2. The analysis of the clinical efficacy:The breast milk yield of the third day after caesarean section in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05), The breast milk yield of the sixth day after caesarean section in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group (P<0.01). The overall efficacy and postpartum hemorrhage of the treatment group were more effective than the control group. The effective rate was significant difference (P<0.05). The clinical symptoms were improved obviously.3. The analysis of the laboratory guide line:Prolactin (PRL) was sensitive to postpartum lactation. The level of prolactin that was detected at the sixth day after caesarean section of the both groups was different significantly (P<0.01). And the comparison of the volume of uterus that was examed at the sixth day after caesarean section was no different (P>0.05). There was no significant difference between the treatment group and control group about estradiol and progesterone.4. Security:Adverse effects on liver and kidney function and blood system were not observed.Conclusion:(1) To confirm that there was obvious efficacy on lack of lactation with traditional Chinese medicine treatment.(2) To confirm the lochia after cesarean section was discharged better and the involution of the uterine was promoted with Chinese medicine.(3) No obvious adverse efficacy on the digestive system was observed with traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine had higher security, no pain, and no bad effect on the neonates, which can improve compliance of patients.
