ObjectivesCompared the treatment for degenerative lumbar spinal lateral recess stenosis with treatment group, control group and blank control group, resulting in the clinical evaluation of Four direction spinal traction, to provide the treatment for degenerative lumbar spinal lateral recess stenosis is safe and effective.MethodsBy using a forward-looking clinical approach, database and statistical analysis were used to study, through the computation sample content and to actual situation’s analysis, the choice tallies integrates the standard, not to conform to elimination standard105patients, who were divided into treatment group> control group and blank control group. The treated group were based treatment plus Four Direction Spinal Traction, the control group were based treatment plus Pelvic Traction, and the blank control group were based treatment only. Traction therapy for a total of10times. Use Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores(JOA) and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) to evaluate the efficacy before treatment, after treatment and after three months. Use Statistical software to analyze the differences efficacy, in order to evaluate the basic treatment plus Four Direction Spinal Traction for degenerative lumbar spinal lateral recess stenosis of the feasibility and effectiveness. ResultThere are total ly105cases,4cases failed to adhere to treatment,2cases brush off because of other diseases,2cases changed to surgical treatment. At last97patients completed the treatment. There are33cases in the treatment group,33cases in the control group,31cases in the basic treatment group.Three groups of patients were no significant difference with age, sex, weight, disease duration, pathological segment, quality, the degree of radius vector of lateral recess, the degree of Lumbar Curvature Index, the VAS and JOA score before treatment. That means the general factors among the three groups are equilibrium and comparable. The number of traction therapy and the day stay in hospital between treatment group and control group was no significant difference, so the treatment situation were comparable. The JOA and VAS before treatment and after treatment were significantly different(P<0.01) between three groups, that means the treatments for lumbar spinal stenosis were obviously effect. The JOA and VAS after treatment between treatment group and control group were no significant difference(P>0.05), That means the term efficacy of Four Direction Spinal Traction and Pelvic Traction was no significant difference. The JOA and VAS after three months between treatment group and control group were significantly different (P<0.05), That means Four Direction Spinal Traction’s short-term effect was better. The symptoms of DLRS before treatment were no linear correlation with general factors and lesion factors (P>0.05). The symptoms after treatment were significant linear correlation with the degree of radius vector of lateral recess (P<0.01). That means the smaller the radius vector of lateral recess, the worse the effect after treatment.ConclusionTraction treatment for degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis was obviously effect, no adverse reflection was found. Compare with Pelvic Traction, the short-term effect of Four Direction Spinal Traction for DLRS was obviously and last long. The symptoms of DLRS before treatment were no l inear correlation with general factors and lesion factors. The symptoms of DLRS after treatment were significant linear correlation with the radius vector of lateral recess.
