Objective:This study aimed to explore the clinical effect of Percutaneous Transforaminal Endoscopic Decompression in treatment of Lumbar lateral recess stenosis. In the meanwhile,To analyze the correlation between imaging changes of lateral recess before and after surgery and improvement of clinical symptoms so that provides a theoretical basis for full clinical decompression.Methods:80 hospitalized patients who with Lumbar lateral recess stenosis and meet inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were randomly selected. All case should evaluate neurological function and pain status with VAS score,ODI score and JOA score before the operation and after operation three months. The clinical outcomes were assessed by modified Macnab criteria; At the same time, imaging examination was performed before and after operation three months, and the imaging parameters were recorded. The related parameters of CT scan include affected side?s lateral recess angle,Lateral recess sagittal diameter,Minimum intervertebral foramen sagittal area, sagittal diameter and transverse diameter of Minimum intervertebral foramen sagittal area. The related parameters of MRI include affected side?s lateral recess angle,Lateral recess sagittal diameter, the area of the dural sac and bilateral lateral recess. Finally,we carries on statistics analysis to its data. Results:In this study,a total of 80 patients, including 45 patients with male, accounted for56.25%,35 patients with female, accounted for 43.75%.Maximum age is 83 years old, minimum age is 18 years old, average age is 54 years old.Macnab score at 3 months after surgery obtained from all the 80 patients.39 cases were given excellent,36 were given good,3 cases were given poor,2 case were given failed, general surgery was93.75%.The improvement of clinical symptoms was significantly correlated with the changes in the lateral recess Angle,Lateral recess sagittal diameter and the area of lateral recess. Conclusions:Percutneous Transforaminal Endoscopic Decomperssion is a new technique for spinal minimally invasive technique. The curative effect is significant in the treatment of lumbar lateral recess stenosis. The improvement of clinical symptoms was significantly correlated with the changes in the lateral recess Angle,Lateral recess sagittal diameter and the area of lateral recess. In the meanwhile,it can not only avoid the complicantions of traditional surgery and reduce hospital stay, but also effective for older patients with complex diseases.
