The Clinic Study Of Danhong Tongjing Decoction Treatment On Male Infertility With Chronic Epididymitis

Object ivesInvestigate the effect of the Chinese medieine Danhong Tongjing Decoction on semen quality and seminal plasma NAG in male infertility with chronic epididymitis, discuss the mechanism of curing infertility with chronic epididymitis by Danhong Tongjing Decoction.MethodsThe80cases troubled by qi deficiency and blood stasis of male infertility with chronic epididymitis, from February in2011to January in2012in Zhuhai Hospital affiliated to Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM, andrology clinic patients, aged24-40years. Using the randomized controlled trials, divided into treatment group and control group40cases each. The treatment group were given Danhong Tongjing Decoction Granula, the control group were given Levocarnitine Oral Solution, the treatment course is three months. The semen volume、sperm concentration sperm motility (PR, PR+NP)、the percentages of spermatozoa with normal morphology and NAG were observed before and after treatment. Using SPSS17.0statistical software,build the database, measured data groups were analyzed by using two independent samples T-test, before and after treatment data using paired sample T-test,counted data using x2test, analysising the differences between before and after the treatment is significance or not.Results1.After treatment, the treatment group had a total effective rate77.5%, the control group had a total effective rate72.5%, the treatment group had a higher effective rate than the control group.2. Before and after treatment,two groups of patients have a comparison in semen volume, sperm concentration sperm motility (PR, PR+NP)、the percentages of spermatozoa with normal morphology, there were significant statistical differences (P<0.01). Comparison of sperm quality of two groups before treatment, there were no statistical differences (P>0.05), after treatment, in semen volume、sperm concentration、the percentages of spermatozoa with normal morphology, there were significant statistical differences (P<0.05), in sperm motility (PR, PR+NP), there were significant statistical differences (P>0.05).3. Before and after treatment,two groups of patients have a comparison in seminal plasma NAG, there were significant statistical differences (P>0.01), between the two groups, seminal plasma NAG of two groups before treatment, the difference were not statistically significant, after treatment, there were significant statistical differences (P<0.01).Conclusion1. The principle of Danhong Tongjing Decoction cure male infertility with chronic epididymitis is effective than the control group.All could improve both the sperm quality and the activity of seminal plasma NAG. The treatment group show a better clinical efficacy comprared with the control group in semen volume、sperm concentration、the percentages of spermatozoa with normal morphology and seminal plasma NAG.2. Danhong Tongjing Decoction possesses a functions of improving the epididymis function, so improve the sperm quality.It shows that Danhong Tongjing Decoction has vast potential prospects in treating male infertility with chronic epididymitis and deserves further research and development.
