| Objective: To investigate the expression of Ca+binding protein(S100) S100A4ã€S100A7ã€S100A11in non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues and analysis thecorrelation of pathological parameters and survival rate; to explore the significance ofS100expression in the tumor genesis of NSCLC.Methods112cases of NSCLC tissues from2004,1to2006,12were collected withparticular pathological data and the relative expression of S100A4,S100A7,S100A11was measured using immunohistochemistry. The relationship with clinicopathologicalparameters and survival time in lung cancer was studied. Results S100A4ã€S100A7ã€S100A11expression levels were detected in all tumorspecimens. The IHC staining showed that high S100A4expression was found in60casesof tissues. S100A4expression was correlated with lymphatic metastasis, tumorstages(p=0.133ã€0.021). At the same time patients’ S100A4expression has a relevance topatients’ survival time. S100A7was only expressed on Squamous cell carcinoma and largecell carcinoma. Its expression was correlated with tumor’s size(p=0.0183).The expressionrate of S100A11was67%and has correlation with tumor stages(p=0.018). There was norelation between S100A4, S100A7and S100A11.Conclusions S100A4ã€S100A7ã€S100A11were abnormally expressed in NSCLCtissues, correlating to NSCLC stages, classification and tumor progression. It can be used asa prognostic tumor marker of the potential target molecules. |
