Study On The Effect Of Chaihushengshitang On IL-10and VEGF In Serum And BALF Of Asthmatic Rats

Objective To investigate the effects of Chaihushengshitang on IL-10and VEGF in Serum and BALF of Asthmatic Rats and explore the mechanism of treating asthma with Chaihushengshitang.Methods Eighty-four male Wistar rats were divided randomly into seven groups: normal control group,model control group,dexamethasone group,dingchuantang group, chaihushengshitang low dose group,chaihushengshitang middle dose group chaihushengshitang high dose group,each group with twelve rats. Then we copied Asthmatic Rats Model by being sensitized and inhaled with OVA. At the same time,each group was given relevant medicines. We determined the level of IL-10and VEGF in Serum and BALF of rats of various groups by ELISA. Experimental datas were analyzed by SPSS16.0statistical software.Results There is no difference in mortality rates of each group(P<0.05), but the mortality rate of Chaihushengshitang high dose group is the highest(58.33%). Changes of bronchial and pulmonary histopathology in each group were typical, pointed out that Bronchial Asthmatic Rats Model were successful. The concentrations of IL-10in serum and BALF in asthma group were significantly decreased than those in normal control group(P<0.05), but the concentrations of VEGF were significantly decreased (P<0.05). The concentrations of IL-10in serum and BALF in each treatmentgroup group were significantly increased than those in asthma group(P<0.05), but the concentrations of VEGF were significantly increased (P<0.05), especially Dexamethasone group,Chaihushengshitang middle dose group and Chaihushengshitang high dose group.Conclusion Chaihushengshitang to relieve symptoms of asthma and resist airway inflammation and airway remodeling in asthma rats is superior to the role of Dingchuan-tang group; Chaihushengshitang could treat asthma by increasing the concentrations of IL-10and decreasing the concentrations of VEGF. Above-mentioned action can be reinforced by increased dose. But the mortality rate of Chaihushengshitang high dose group is the highest.Whether there is the correlation between mortality rate of the high dose group and side effects of the drugs, needs to further study...
