ObjectivesTo objectively assess the clinical efficacy and safety of the method of tonifying qi and dispeling phlegm in the remission of asthma in children.MethodsIn this study, as part of the Phase II clinical trials of drugs, a rand-omized controlled clinical trial design, to the Guangdong Provincial Hosp-ital of pediatric outpatient visits in March2010to July2011, choice54cases of the diagnostic inclusion criteria for asthma in remission in ch-illdren who are deficiencying-excess complex pattem in diagnosis of TCM. Using the randomized double-blind method, they are divided into two group-s of tonifying qi and dispeling phlegm medicine and placebo groups. Thei-r treatment is4weeks. Respectively, before the treatment and after2,4weeks after the treatment, recording the symptoms and tongue and pulse cl-assification quantization table, the C-ACT records of the table and cont-rol assessments. Before and after treatment, record detect security proje-cts and adverse reactions occurs.Result1. In main symptoms scale scores, after two weeks of treatment, the score was significantly decreased (from5.72±3.29decreased to2.48±3.43, p<0.05), that means two weeks after symptoms it having improved and the onset. After4weeks of treatment, it reduced to0.64±1.11points (p<0.05), obtained by statistical treatment efficiency of92%compared with th-e placebo group (p<0.05), statistically more significant abnormal.2. After4weeks of treatment, lung function ratings were significantly de-creased (from0.72±1.51of the pre-treatment decreased to0.04±0.2 0, p<0.05), compared with placebo (p<0.05), statistically more signific-antly abnormal.3. In the C-ACT table score, whether it is a child self-test or the evalu-ation of parents, after4weeks of treatment, the score was significantl-y increased (p<0.05), compared with the placebo group (p<0.05), statis-tical comparisonthere are a significant exception.ConelusionThe method of tonifying qi and dispeling phlegm alleviate the main symptoms of asthma in remission of the def iciencying-excess complex pattem in diagnosis of TCM(daytime symptoms, nighttime symptoms, restricted and drug use) and to improve lung function effect is significant.
