Clinical Observation Of Tangbi For External Application To Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy

ObjectivesBased on the clinical experience of the Professor Fan Guanjie, who is the Department Director of Endocrine Department by Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital, and the early research on the work of DPN, we use the basis of drug therapy combine with the Tangbi for external application to the patients of Xiaoke Bizheng, in order to observe the effects of Tangbi for external application for the patients of Xiaoke Bizheng with clinical symptoms、Toronto clinical scoring system and blood flow in lower limb.MethodsAccording to the Diagnosis of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy and Map out of exclusive criteria, select the Xiaoke Bizheng patients with symptoms of exercise-induced feeling and who had been informed consent from September2011to March2012at the Hospital of Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital. The establishment of the clinical symptoms evaluation score、Toronto clinical scoring system and the ankle-brachial index of lower limb artery flow Doppler three goals, we divided into the treatment group and control group for placebo controlled study. Both groups have the foundation treatment of diabetes and oral a cobalt ammonium capsules. The control group has given the wash of placebo for external application, and the treatment group has given the Tangbi for external application. The treatment will be last for two weeks and the test period is two courses. The symptom score of Traditional Chinese Medical Measuring、the Toronto clinical scoring system、and the ankle-brachial index before and after testing by paired t test or chi-square test for comparison. At the same time detecting and recording routine, blood glucose, liver function and renal function, ECG and adverse events before and after treatment. Eventually, discusses the results of the research.ResultOn the basis of statistical analysis, the differences of base conditions between two groups were not significant and comparable. After one month of treatment, both groups can be effective in improving clinical symptoms, especially about the treatment group. At the end of treatment, the results show that, the treatment group and control group were compared before and after the points difference was significant difference (P<0.05) in the symptom score of Traditional Chinese Medical、the Toronto clinical scoring system and the ankle-brachial index. During the treatment, the two groups showed no adverse reactions during the treatment, which were associated with the use of medicines.ConclusionThe Tangbi for external application can improve clinical symptom of the Xiaoke Bizheng patients, were relieved the clinical discomfort. At the same, it can allow some restoration of the lower limb artery flow conditions with the DPN patients. The Tangbi for external application has no obvious side effects, with good security, can be popularized in the clinical.
