Endometriosis is a common disease in Gynecology. In recent years, the incidence gradually increased, of which the ovarian endometriosis is the most common type. Once the chocolate cysts are formed, drug treatment is difficult to completely eliminate. Laparoscopy has been recognized as "gold standard" and the best surgical approach in the world for the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. But there are microscopic lesions of endometriosis, laparoscopic surgery may omit endometriosis, suggesting the need for postoperative medication. Chinese medicine treatment s of postoperative has unique advantages and can reduce the relapse rate and improve the pregnancy rate, therefore a large number of clinical studies have been launched. However, since the aspects of Chinese medicine clinical trials in the methodology application are weak and less normative, the lack of a more objective and scientific evaluation of research has caused difficulty for recognition and a wide range of applications. Systematic reviews of research methods is recognized by the international medical community to carry out systematic reviews in the medical field, looking for a more effective clinical treatment of Chinese medicine, drugs, methods, measures, technology, etc. Systematic reviews provide constructive opinions for future clinical research decisions, favorable to the international academic exchanges and the promotion of Chinese medicine in the world.Object i ve:Fully and systematically understand the clinical research of Chinese medicine treatment using after the chocolate cyst removed by laparoscopic, including research design, implementation and existing problems, to assess the overall level of quality, to make an objective evaluation of Chinese medicine treatment’s safety and efficacy. Methods:Research on the the clinical research literature from January1978to January2012of "using Chinese medicine treatment after the laparoscopic chocolate cyst removed". Database:Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Biomedical Literature Database (CBM,1978-2012), Chinese medicine dissertation database (Journal), China Academic Network (CNKI from1979to2012), Wanfang resource system (1989-2012), Western biomedical journal literature service system (FMJS1995-2011), PUDMED (1927-2012), the Cochrane Library controlled trials Register and MEDLINE (1966-2012). Hand searches of the relevant literature and their literature references to establish the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the literature in order to set up a cl inical research literature evaluation form of "using Chinese medicine treatment after the laparoscopic chocolate cyst removed", including the important principles of clinical research design and chocolate cyst disease characteristics, analysis of the literature generally, research program design and the statistical analysis and conclusions. And to use Cochrane Collaboration’s RevMan software package to do statistics on this basis. Results:By reading the title and summary of the literature to identify a total of64clinical research literature corresponds to "using Chinese medicine treatment after the laparoscopic chocolate cyst removed". Of which random hadn’t been mentioned in3articles, drugs have been used in4articles,2articles of repeated reports,2articles were retrospective studies,13articles of not fully consolidated chocolate cyst, and23articles which did not specify the number of merge chocolate cysts (no reply from the author),1article was laparoscopy combined with traditional Chinese medicine control with the pure drug, another one was laparoscopic control with open. At last,18articles of randomized controlled clinical trials were selected,2of which are grouped according to patient preference and1of which is grouped according to different medication and are excluded from randomized controlled trials. Ultimately in line with the literature15, all of them had no description of the randomized method. No articles used blind method on the statistical data. There are9literatures of diagnostic standard,6with scattered diagnostic standard or no description;1literature of which had a certain standard,14 literature for inclusion criteria only scattered in the description or no description,12literatures of scattered in the exclude standard,3literatures of no description in the exclusion criteria. No literature has filtered record nor conducted prior estimation of sample size. For the description between the two groups, although some studies compared the age groups, the course of the disease, but there was no clear inter-group balanced. There were11literatures of better Intervention, treatment standardization and stability,4literatures of general standardization.4literatures used the national Institute of standards,11literatures used the self-efficacy standard.4literatures did not mention any statistical methods. The remaining literature of the use of statistical method t-test, q test, chi-square test, rank-sum test, the data may be due to length or professional of the description and analysis of too few (such as data types, distribution type and variance Qi Xing, etc.)statistical methods can not judge from the article is correct or not. No literatures have calibrated the statistical method of the imbalance between the group variable.14literatures were followed.6literature did not mention adverse reactions and adverse events,7literatures recorded symptoms and the number of cases of adverse events, but with no statistical tests. Only2literatures recorded the symptoms and the number of cases of adverse events, and conducted statistical tests.15literatures mainly determine the efficacy of the indicators and standards of statistical inference based on the results.Cone l us ion:Study of the existing literature results show that after preliminary analysis of the Meta, the using of the Chinese medicine treatment after the laparoscopic chocolate cyst removed has a certain effect, Meta-analysis in this study shows the results of the analysis reliability, but this is not enough. A strong convincing and high intensity demonstrated of the Meta-analysis conclusions depend on whether randomized controlled trials are high-quality. In this study included in the analysis of15clinical research literatures quality are not ideal, still can not make a clear conclusion on the efficacy of medical treatment in the chocolate cyst operation, yet a rigorous design of a large sample, multi-center, randomized, controlled, placebo parallel clinical trials is to be confirmed.
