| BackgroundHand-foot-mouth disease is an acute infectious disease caused by intestinal virus. Foot and mouth disease often occur in preschool children, the less than3age group had the highest incidence. Western medicine has not potent drugs to treat hand-foot-mouth disease at present. For the ordinary type used mainly symptomatic treatment and combined treatment of TCM and Western medicine and severe type used the integrated therapy. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of the disease has been more than20years of history, is mainly used in syndrome differentiation and treatment, staging treatment method, can reach both specimens, alleviate symptoms and shorten the course of disease effect. Pieces of Chinese medicine preparations decocted, due to taste, odor and other reasons, there are some difficulties for pediatric to use, and that affects the clinical use and treatment, so choose a more convenient and effective route of administration becomes a clinical problem to be solved urgently. External method overcomes the difficulty that oral drugs, make drug permeation skin, improve skin lesions localized skin blood circulation and promote metabolism effectively and conducive to drug absorption in the topical treatment of role play, received within the administration, regulating effect.PurposeThis study evaluated the external wash of Chinese medicine treatment of lung spleen dampness heat type of hand-foot-mouth disease effectiveness and safety through the observation of external wash of Chinese medicine treatment of lung spleen dampness heat type of hand-foot-mouth disease, is expected to provide evidence for clinical application. MethodThis study used randomized controlled trial method.80children, in Hccordance with the criteria of hand-foot-mouth disease, went to pediatric department of Nanhai maternity and child healtal from March2011to March2012, were randomly divided into control group(40cases), external wash of Chinese medicine group (40cases).Two groups were received routine treatment (to bed isolation, avoid cross infection; the proper rest, light diet, good oral and skin care; fever, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms treated; the complicated with bacterial infection with antibioties at); external wash of Chinese medicine group on the basis of conventional therapy plus traditional Chinese medicine external treatment, In the treatment of prior to baseline data analysis,symptom score and detection in two groups of three regular, O reactive protein, myocardial enzymes, liver and kidney function, blood glucose. Observe and record the treatment after the rash and oral herpes faded with time, healing time, compares two groups of case of illness the clinical manifestations and the index level changes, create database, statistieal analysis, evaluated the external wash of Chinese medicine treatment of lung spleen dampness heat type of hand-foot-month disease effectiveness and safety.ResultThis study shows that, the two groups in the rash, oral herpes regress regression time and recovery time comparison, washing with Chinese herbal medicine group compared with the control group the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01), prompted by washing with Chinese herbal medicine can promote lung spleen dampness heat type foot and mouth disease in children with rash and oral herpes subsided, shorten the course of disease; in after treatment the symptom integral comparison, two groups of group and group compare difference to all have statistical significance (P<0.01), prompted hy washing with Chinese herbal medieine group on clinical symptoms have more apparent remission and therapeutic effects of curative effect index; in comparison, the cure rate, significant efficiency, effeetiveness, efficiency of Chinese medicine wash group was12.5%,60%,27.5%,0%; control group0%,25%,75%,0%; curative effect between the two groups had a significant difference (p <0.01), prompted by washing with Chinese herbs group than the control group treatment. During the treatment of external wash of Chinese medicine group of children have no adverse reactions.ConclusionTraditional Chinese medicine external treatment of lung and spleen dampness heat type of hand-foot-mouth disease, can promote the rash subsided, oral herpes, shorten the course of disease, remission and treatment on clinical symptoms apparently, remarkable curative effect. |
