Objective:To investigate the status of the quality of life and health situation of the Han andMongolian perimenopausal women in the Mongolian minority areas, analyzing theinfluencing factors. In order to provide a theoretical basis for the government andrelevant departments to develop women’s health decision-making and explorecountermeasures to improve and enhance the quality of life and health situation of theHan and Mongolian perimenopausal women.Methods:600women were selected from Tongliao City (300Han women and300Mongolian women) using stratified random sampling method. The women’ age rangeis40~60years old. There are three parts of the questionnaire: general information ofthe participants, improved KI Scale and the Chinese version of the WHOQOL-BREF.Use SPSS17.0statistical software for statistical analysis. Descriptive analysis, t-test,one-way ANOVA, chi-square test and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis areused in the analysis.Results:1. Ages at menarche and menopauseThe average age at menarche of the perimenopausal women was15.79±1.58years old, and the average age at natural menopause was49.69±3.17years old. Theage at menopause was not correlated with the age at menarche (R=0.151,P=0.176;R=0.176,P=0.094). Mongolian women’s age at menarche was15.90±1.56years old,and the age at menopause was49.67±3.49years old. There are no significant differencesbetween the two ethnic groups(P>0.05). There are significant differences in other areasand nationalities of the menarche age and menopause age between Han and Mongolianperimenopausal women,the same people in different areas also have differences.2. The perimenopausal knowledge rate and the usage rate of HRT The overall perimenopausal knowledge rate was67.7%; the awareness rate ofHRT was20.7%and the usage of HRT was2.0%. Two nations’ perimenopausal nousand knowledge awareness rate are significantly differences (P<0.01, P<0.05), theMongolia group of perimenopausal women in perimenopausal women with lower than that ofthe Han nationality.HRT awareness and use of no difference between the two ethnic groups (P>0.05).3. The health status in perimenopause of the Han and Mongolian womenThe score of KI scale for an average of13.613±9.05, at a low level.The.Theincidence rate of climacteric syndrome was77.3%,the top five perimenopausalsymptoms in incidence were: irritability, fatigue, insomnia, paresthesia andarthrodynia accompanied by muscle-pains. Mongolian women’s incidence rate was75.3%; the Han women’s incidence rate was79.4%. Two national KI Scale total scoreand menopausal syndrome rate had no difference (P>0.05).The symptoms offormication score and there were significant difference (P<0.01).The score of KI scaleand production times, culture level is negatively correlated.City of perimenopausalwomen KI Scale total score was significantly lower than the countrysideperi-menopausal period women (P<0.01).Different age groups of perimenopausalwomen KI Scale total score have significant difference (P<0.01).4. The quality of life of the Han and Mongolian perimenopausal womenThe Han and Mongolian perimenopausal women’s scores in all areas of thequality of life were: Physiological field (72.12±16.27); Psychological field (63.92±14.55); Social fields (66.97±15.50); Environment field (59.41±15.64). The qualityof life was in the middle level. Between the two peoples psychological domain scoreshad a significant difference (P<0.01), the Mongolia group of perimenopausal womenin perimenopausal women is higher than that of Han nationality.Quality of life in allareas of main influence factors: economic status, the score of KI scale, maritalstatus.Rural peri-menopausal women survival quality in various fields aresignificantly lower city of perimenopausal women (P<0.01).Quality of life in variousfields of different age groups scored significantly different (P<0.01).Conclusions:In Tongliao city there were no ethnic difference in the ages at menarche andmenopause of the perimenopausal women in the same area; there were differenceswith other regions and ethnic groups; there were differences between different regions of the same nation; there was no correlation. The score and incidence rate’sdifferences of formication of skin between the Han and Mongolian perimenopausalwomen had statistically significance. Mongolian, Han perimenopausal women overallMenopausal syndrome incidence is high, no significant differences between the twoethnic groups;but the symptom is lighter, the difference between the two ethnic groups.The overall quality of life in the middle level, the difference between the twopeoples.Rural menopausal women’s health status and quality of life was significantlylower than the city of perimenopausal women.Different age groups of perimenopausalwomen’s health status and quality of life are different.
