In recent years to takeartificial prosthesis, Allogenic bone repairing segmental bone defect of theremnants of bone tumors, although recovery of limb function, there are stillexpensive, prosthetic loosening, infection, bone absorption problems, somepatients have to accept amputations,This paper introduced12malignant bonetumor cases during2004to2012which used a new limb-salvage operationmethod in our hospital, and with the hope that we can provide a new idea totreat malignant bone tumor.Objective: To introduce a new limb-salvage operation method: lockingplate combined with bone cement fixation, and hopes it can provide a new ideato treat malignant bone tumor.Method: Collect12malignant bone tumor patients who had treatedwithlocking plate combined with bone cement fixation during2009to2012inCJUH. In these cases, one is man, the other three are women. The age of these patients is from9to55, the average age is32. According to GTM classificationand grading,2case is primary malignant bone tumor, malignant fibroushistiocytoma type of osteosarcoma, G₂T₁M₀, phase IIA.6case is osteoclastoma,G₁T₁M₀, phase IA.2case is myelomatosis,G₂T₂M₁, phase IIB.2case isosteosarcoma,G₂T₁M₀,phaseIIA.Collectthese patients imageologydata the hipand acetabular dysplasia,7cases belong to acetabular components loosening,3cases belong to femoral head necrosis,2cases belong to old fracture ofacetabular and femoral head necrosis and1case belongs to old fracture offemoral neck.Results:All the23patients had at least3months（main49.5months,from3monthsto96months）.The Harris points increase from37.1preoperation to78.7pointpostoperation.In the group of structure allograft,only on case showedtranslucent zone among actabular compont at X ray but had no clinicalsymptom,one case had screw fracture and had revision operation.The time ofbone healing in the group of morselized bone allograft and mixed allograftgroup is shorter than the group of structure allograft.The total effective rate isbefore and after operation. Assess operation effect according to Mankinstandard. The average follow review time is49.5months. Take X-ray and ECTexamine at regular intervals, observe the condition of tumor recurrence andtransformation, evaluate the effect of locking plate combined with bone cementfixation method.Result: The average follow review time is49.5months. According toMankin standard,11cases are optimal, one case is good and one case is poor.and one case got tumor recurrence.Conclusion:Locking plate combined with bone cement fixation iseffective treatment method to malignant bone tumor. Using this operationmethod, we can remove the tumor tissue widely, and we filled cement in the space during locking plates, which can make the support firmer. And this kindof method can curtail operation time, and also possess advantage of smalltrauma and less complications. Patients can get early functional exercise, andthe cement with no need for takeout. But if the patient suffer tumor near thejoint or alone has been metastaticed, tumor tissue can not be curtail thoroughly,the tumor has the risk of recurrent in short time, so we don’t recommend thisoperation method in this case.
