Outcome Analysis Of Surgical Treatment For Children Monteggia Fractures

Objective:To discuss the surgical methods and treatment effects of children Monteggia fractures.Methods:From2003to201120cases of children Monteggia fracture cases were followed up, fresh burt manual reduction fails child Monteggia fracture treated by ulnar reduction with internal fixation and annular ligament repair. Old child Monteggia fracture were treated by ulnar osteotomy and internal fixation of the ulna open reduction and annular ligament reconstruction in the treatment. Periodic review after X-ray, fracture healing, and check the forearm functional recovery. Evaluate the needs and forearm function recovery by Mackay clinical functional evaluation.Result:18cases after follow-up,2patients were lost to follow-up, cases of all fractures were healed. According to Mackay score:advantages:8cases, good:9cases, poor:1case; excellent rate is94%.Conclusion:Fresh but manual reduction fails children Monteggia fracture, as soon as possible to reset the ulna and fixed with repair of the annular ligament. Old children Monteggia fracture, the ulnar osteotomy fixed and annular ligament reconstruction methods to reduction and fixation of the radial head, in order to make the elbow to get a good functional recovery.
