Objective:To investigate the level of blood serum vitamin D in obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAS) patients and OSAS with diabetes patients, then explore the role and clinical significance of vitamin D in the pathogenesis of OSAS with diabetes.Methods:74participants from Shanxi medical university second affiliated hospital Physi cal Examination Center Sleep monitoring center and endocrine division, according to the Chinese medical association has developed diagnostic criteria of OSAS and type2diabets, participants were divided into healthy group19patients, diabetes group14patie nts, OSAS with diabets group14patients and OSAS group27patients, according to apnea-hypopnea index,these27patients were divided into mild group (9cases) moderate group(8cases) and severe group (10cases). All the participants need to measure the height, weight, to calculate the body mass index (BMI); to carry out polysomnogram monitoring all night for7hours at least, analysis apnea hyponea index (AHI) and the minimum O2saturation at night; dividedly collecting empty stomach peripheral venous b lood at6a.m on next day to measure levels of HbAlC、fasting blood glucose and vitamin D.Results:(1) Compared with healthy group, the level of FPG and HbAlC in diabets group,OSAS with diabets group and simple OSAS group were significantly higher; The serve OSAS group was higher than the mild group (P<0.05)(2)The level of vitamin D were significantly lower in diabetes group and all the OSAS patients than the healthygr oup(P<0.05); And patients of the OSAS with diabetes group than OSAS patients further lower, with significant difference (P<0.05).(3)Blood serum vitamin D was negative correl ative with BMI,AHI,Glycated hemoglobin and fasting plasma glucose levels (r=-0.309,-0.516,-0.421,-0.458),vitamin D was positive correlation with the minimum blood oxygen saturation(r=0.349)Conclusions:(1)OSAS patients often appeared sugar metabolism disorder, and it related to AHL BMI and minimum blood oxygen;(2)The levels of vitamin D are lower in pa tients with OSAS, intermittent low oxygen may influence the absorption of vitamin D;(3) Vitamin D deficiency can cause glucose metabolic disorder, and patients with low level of vitamin D may be one reasons of OSAS cause glucose metabolic disorder...
