Objective:To observe the disorder of glucose mechanism and the changes of serum uncoupling protein-2(UCP-2) levels in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAS), and then explore the morbidity mechanism of glucose metabolism disorder caused by OSAS.Methods:To select31patients with OSAS, these patients were divided into mild to moderate group (16cases) and severe group (15cases). To select14OSAS patients with type2diabetes,14patients with type2diabetes and18simple obesity patients. There was no significantly difference on the age and sex among each group. Measuring the height and weight of all the candidates, and then the body mass index (BMI) was calculated. All patients received polysomnogram monitoring all night, then analyzed the report, obtained the AHI and LSO2. In the next morning7am, all the fasting patients were haemospasia10ml, and then HbA1C、fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and UCP-2level were measured. To compare the difference and correlation of all the laboratory markers among each group.Result:1.Compared with the control group, the levels of FPG and HbA1C in other groups elevated obviously (P<0.05).The levels in severe group, OSAS patients with type2diabetes group and simple type2diabetes group were significantly higher than those in mild to moderate group, there were no significant difference among these three groups. There were no significant difference between the serve group and OSAS patients with type2diabetes group.2.Compared with the control group, mild to sever group, the levels of UCP-2in severe group, the OSAS patients with type2diabetes group and the simple type2diabetes group elevated (P<0.05). The UCP-2level in the OSAS patients with type2diabetes group was significantly higher than that in the simple type2diabetes group and sever group. There is no difference between mild to sever group and simple obesity group, sever group and simple type2diabetes group.3.The correlation analysis showed that the UCP-2level was positively correlated with AHI、HbA1C、FPG (r=0.795,0.513,0.268, p<0.05),and negatively correlated with LSaO2(r=-0.721, p<0.05).Conclusion:1.OSAS induce the disorder of glucose metabolism. It related to the OSAS’s severity.2. OSAS induced the increased expression of UCP-2. It indicated that UCP-2may play a role in the development of glucose metabolism disorder caused by OSAS.
