Objectives:To study the expression and clinical significance of CXC chemokine ligand10(CXC chemokine ligand10,CXCL10) and chemokine receptor3(chemokine receptor3,CXCR3) in children with type1diabetes mellitus (T1DM).Methods:Fifty cases of T1DM patients and thirty cases of normal controls were collected. The serum levels of CXCLIO and CXCR3were determinated by ELISA method. The serum levels of CXCL10and CXCR3between T1DM and normal controls were respectively compared.CXCL10were compared by group according to different duration of T1DM patients. Results:The serum levels of CXCL10and CXCR3in50T1DM patients were (258.17±39.12)ng/L and (851.87±70.04)pg/mL respectively, which were significantly higher than those in normal controls (P<0.05). Serum level of CXCL10in patients with duration less than6weeks had notably increase compared with patients with duration equal to or more than6weeks but less than3years and with duration more than3years. If serum level of CXCL10in patients with duration equal to or more than6weeks but less than3years higher than that in patients with duration equal to or more than3years, the results all have statistical significance (P<0.05)Conclusions:The serum levels of CXCL10and CXCR3in50patients with T1DM were significant higher than those in controls. And CXCL10levels decreased gradually along with disease duration. The Expression of CXC10and CXCR3may reflect the immune activities of T1DM.It may provide a new idea for us to further investigate the pathogenesy and prophylaxis and treatment of T1DM.
