The Clinical Research Of Yiqi Detoxification Decoction Resisting Recurrence Of Herpes Simplex Keratitis

Aim：To discuss the clinical treating effect of yiqi detoxification decoction resistingrecurrence of herpes simplex keratitis (HSK).Methods: Randomly divided HSK patients into control group and treatment group（80eyes in each group）, the control group were given li ke Ming eye ophthalmic gel todrop eye, the treatment group were given li ke Ming eye ophthalmic gel to drop eyeand yiqi detoxification decoction orally as well. Then re-visited the two groups of healpatients after two treatment courses (30days totally), among them,78eyes in thetreatment group and79in control.Results: In treatment group, the total effective rate of epikeratitis was92.5%，it wassignificantly higher than the control group（P<0．01）, and for stromal keratitis it was92.5%，likely higher than the control group（P<0．01）; The mean treating durationof epikeratitis in treatment group was12.23±2.06days, it was significantly shorterthan the control group（P<0．01）, and for stromal keratitis, it was19.67±3.12days,significantly shorter than the control group（P<0．01）. The re-visiting result showedthat during the first period, there were7recurrence in74eyes in the treatment group,the recurrent rate was9.5%,20recurrence in72eyes in the control group, therecurrent rate was27.8%; During the secong period, there were8recurrence in65eyes in the treatment group, the recurrent rate was12.3%,18recurrence in50eyes inthe control group, the recurrent rate was36%, the recurrent rate of the treatment groupwas significantly lower than the control group in both of the two periods（P<0.01）;Compared the first mean recurrent period of the cured patients in the two groups, thetreatment group was statistically longer than the control group（P<0.05）; Comparedthe mean recurrent frequency of the cured patients of two groups in1year after curing,it was significantly decreased after treating than before in the treatment group and itdid not fluctuated in the control group.Conclusion: In the term of treating recurrent HSK, Chinese traditional Medicineyiqi detoxification decoction contribute to enhance the treating effect,shorten the disease course，prolonged the latent period and decreased the recurrent rate witheffective anti-HSV and anti-recurrence function.
