An Experimental Study On The Effects Of Oculentum Muan(目安) On Experimental Rabbits With Herpes Simplex Keratitis

OBJECTIVE: To assess the therapeutie of Oculentum Muan (目安) in the treatment of experimental Rabbits with Herpes Simplex Keratitis (HSK).METHODS: The infected rabbits with HSK were divided into the tested groups and the control group. The rabbits were given OculentumⅠ(MUAN-3%Acyloguanosini+20%FENGMI+JIZHI),Ⅱ(3% Acvloguanosini +JIZHI) and Ⅲ(20%FENGMI+JIZHI)in the tested groups. The rabbits were given Oculentum Ⅳ( GIZHI ) in the control group. Then pathologic changs of the conrnea were observed by light microscopy and camera . RESULTS: When average period of treatment was 9 days. In OculentumⅠ group , The conrea unlcer areas of OculentumⅠgroup were markedly smaller than OculentumⅡgroup(Acvloguanosini) in market, There was a statistically difference between OculentumⅠ group and OculentumⅡgroup(P<0.05).Pathological examination showed that laoguancao eye drops alleiated the cornea danmage due to Herpes Simplex Virus－Ⅰand procted the susceptible cornea cells.CONCLUSION: Oculentum Muan was markedly efficient in the treatment of experimental rabbits with HSK. Compared with Oculentum acyloguanosini, Oculentum Muan was markedly efficient in the treatment of experimental rabbits with HSK.
