The Clinical Value Of ILl-8, IL-10 And NGF Of EPS In Patients With Type ⅢB CP Before And After Treatment

Objective:To investigate the significance of IL-8, IL-10 and NGF in pathogenesis and treatment ,by detecting the levels of IL-8, IL-10 and NGF of expressed prostatic secretions in patients with typeⅢB chronic prostatitis before and after treatment.Methods:1.We collected 88 cases of out-patient, in accordance with the standard diagnostic criteria by the DRE, prostate massage, urine analysis, urine culture, EPS routine examination, EPS bacterial culture and other tests. 46 patients ultimately were elected to the experimental group;and 45 healthy men were selected as normal controls.2.We detected the levels of IL-8,IL-10 and NGF of EPS in 46 patients diagnosed as typeⅢB chronic prostatitis before and after treatment.We also detected the levels in 45 normal male cases as a control.3.We used the treatment with tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained release tablets, a 0.2 mg, orally, day 1; universal Thai film, a 0.2 mg, orally, 2 times a day, to patients. Two drugs should be used for 4 weeks.4. We used the National Institutes of Health prostatitis symptom index score table to assessment the patient symptoms and quality of life for Experimental group.Results:1. We found the results of urine analysis, urine culture, EPS microscopy, and EPS bacterial culture in 35 patients were positive test.The results of 46 cases eventually meet the test requirements.2.There were significant differences(P<0. 05) between the levels of the IL-8, IL-10 and NGF of EPS in the nomal control group and the experiment group.After treatment,the levels in the IL-8 of EPS were lower in the experiment group,which was a significant difference(P<0. 05). The levels in IL-10 were higher and the levels in NGF were lower after treatment in the experiment group.But the levels in IL-10 and NGF were no significant difference (P>0.05) compared with the levels before treatment.3.The score of 46 patients with typeⅢB CP was between 8-27 before treatment, with an average of 18.4 points.After treatment the score was between 5-19 with an average of 11.7 points.The score lower than 25% or more after treatment.Conclusions:1. There were significantly differents (P<0.05) in the levels of IL-8 before and after treatment in the experiment group. And there were also significantly differents (P<0.05) between the normal control group and the experiment group. The levels of IL-8 were rising inⅢB-type CP patients, suggesting that IL-8 could participate in the process ofⅢB-type CP. The levels of IL-8 were rising in the stage ofⅢB-type CP, which played a possible role in the process of promoting inflammation. But in the late, the falling of levels suggested that cell factor of inhibiting imflammation and medicines lead to decreasing of the inflammation activity.2. The levels of IL-10 in the experiment group were higher than the normal control group(P>0.05).There were not significantly(P>0.05) in the levels of IL-10 before and after treatment.It could indicate that the levels increased,playing anti-inflammatory effect and ptotecting the issues and organs.The levels of IL-10 increased slowly at the latter stage of CP, indirectly confirmed the autoimmunosuppression could participate the process of inflammation and medicine treatments could result in the high levels of IL-10.3. The levels of NGF in the experiment group were higher than the normal control group(P>0.05).There were not significantly(P>0. 05) in the levels of NGF before and after treatment.The levels in the experiment group were higher than the normal control group, indicating that NGF may be involved in inflammatory activity.Regulated by IL-10,levels of NGF decreased after treament which leaded to the alliviation of subjective symptoms in patients.Thus, the changes of IL-8, IL-10 and NGF cytokines levels after treatment,suggested that the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and anti-inflammatory cytokines altered and the balance between pro-inflammatory cytokines and anti-inflammatory cytokines could be very important. The levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines increased in the process ofⅢB-type CP proved the effeciveness of treatment.And elevated levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines could be the key to the effective treatment. It will be helpful for reseach of the CP pathogenesis and djustment of medication and the evaluation the curative effect by detection of cytokines levels.
