| Inner Mongolia is not only the material basis of the survival of pastoralists, but also the important barrier of protecting the ecological environment in north China. Now, due to the irrational grazing management and climate change, productivity of grassland is declining and the grass area is reducing. As an important part of Inner Mongolia-West Border Pastoral also faces the problem of grassland above. Livestock balance is sustainable development initiatives because the state wants to promote higher productivity levels and improve pastoral grassland ecological environment. Balanced model livestock identification system is directly related to the implementation of effective livestock balance. In this paper, based on the research results at home and abroad, combined with the local animal husbandry development, through access and the determination of stocking rate in recent years, yield and a series of indicators in West Ujimqin Banner, we analysis the amount of the difference between the stocking capacity in theory and the actual carrying capacity, and determine whether the livestock and grass is balanced in West Border Pastoral balance, finally bring out a reasonable livestock balance model. Through research it shows that:(1) actual stocking rates in West Border Pastoral is lower than the theoretical carrying capacity, the reason of grassland degradation is due to overloading and regional seasonal grazing imbalance.(2) Combining with the economic development needs in pastoral areas, we obtained that at the theoretical level to livestock, livestock balance model given grass to grass is better than the animal model. Finally, aiming at the main problem for livestock balance, we come up with corresponding measures and recommendations proposed. The model further provides a reasonable balance between livestock theoretical basis and practical support. |
