Study On Preventive And Therapeutic Effects Of IBDV-Chickens By Chinese Herbal Medicine Compound

Disease of infectious bursal disease (1BD), caused by infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) is a acute contagious disease that endanger the chicks, the disease is serious harm to our country’s poultry industry.To effectively prevent and treat Infectious bursaldisease(IBD), the study compound a Chinese Herb which according to the clinical characteristics of the disease and verterinary theoretical basis and the diagnosis treatment of the principles, then we used the Chinese Herb component to prevent and treat the disease through artificially and naturally infected chickens.In order to study on the perventive and therapeutic efficacy of artificially and naturally infected with IBDV by Chinese Herbal Medicine Compound, chickens wew divided into three groups randomdy,high dose group,moderate dose group and low dose group,through admixing drug into water.Through a series of indexes such as the mortality,antibody titre of blood serum,index number of immune organ and change of bodies,it can be identified that the effect of IBDV-chickens by Chinese Herbal Medicine Compound.Experiment1:Preventive and Therapeutic test of artificially infected IBDV-Chickens By Chinese Herbal Medicine Compound:gived medicine (low dose0.5mL,moderate dose1mL,high dose2mL)to the250chickens which were divided into three groups when they20days old for3days (3times a day)before artificially infected IBDV through admixing drug into water, and then continued to give medicine (low dose1mL,moderate dose2mL,high dose4mL)to them after artificially infected IBDV and exhibited spmptoms.And the result showed that the preventive protection rate in high dose group and moderate dose group were92%and90%respectively, Compared with infected control group(preventive protection rate20%),these two groups could obviously inhibit the chickens’morbidity andmortality of IBD,and the diversity was extremely significant(P<0.01).And the effect of low-dose group were better than those in the antibody titer and injure rate of innume organ(P<0.05).Experiment2:Clinical therapeutic test of naturally infected IBDV-Chickens By Chinese Herbal Medicine Compound:gived medicine (low dose1mL,moderate dose 2mL,high dose4mL)to the250chickens that choosed from a farm for7days (3times a day)which were divided into three groups and exhibited symptoms through admixing drug into water. The result showed that the cure rate in high dose group and moderate dose group were86%and84%respectively, compared with infected control group(cute rate16%),diversity was extremely significant(P<0.01),so these two groups had a good therapeutic effect to IBDV,but the effect was still lower than than the antibody control group. At the same time,high dose of medicine and moderate dose of medicine could significantly alleviate chickens immune organ, changes of bursal and thymus,like chest leg muscle bleeding,stomach bleeding and swelling were lighter than the other groups,and the chicks immune organ index has increased.That was to say the high-dose and moderate-dose could effectively protect the immune organs and could reduce the degree of injure.According to the two experment results showed that:the high-dose and moderate-dose medicine could prevent and treat IBD safely and effectively,and the difference was not significant.So the recommended dose used in clinic are: therapeutic dose is2mL or4mL each one mixed in water for7days succession; preventive dose is1mL or2mL each one mixed in water mixed for3days ahead of schedule.
