Studies On Preventive And Therapeutic Effects Of "FuzhengJieDuSan" And Its Super Powder On IBDV-Chickens

The preventive and therapeutic effects of"Fuzhengjiedusan"(FZJDS) and its super powder on chickens artificially infected with Infectious Bursal Disease Virus(IBDV)were studied and compared in this paper. FZJDS, a Chinese traditional patent formulation, which is recorded in veterinary Pharmacopeia (2000 version), can strengthen immunity of body to eliminate pathogens, can also clear away the heat-evil and expel superficial evils. It is mainly used to cure fowl IBD, but the super powder has not been reported by now. The Chinese herb medicine is shattersd by billy BMF-100 micronizer. This process not only breakdowns the intercellular layer between cells, but also shatters the cells, so the active components in the traditional Chinese medicine can be completely released and become easier to be absorpted, and the therapeutic and preventive efficacy is elevated. The results of this study has theoretical and practical significance to developing effective antiviral drug and new forms of veterinary drugs, elevating foods safety, improving public health and etc.Results of setting up patho-model showed that nosedrop and eyedrop application totally 0.1ml and anus brushing 0.1ml can successfully duplicate IBD patho-model, the mortality may achieve 44%, equally to clinical morbidity.24 day old Hailan female and male chickens which were artificially infectet with IBDV were divided into three groups randomdy, high dose group, moderate dose group and low dose group, and were administerd the super powder of FZJDS through admixing drug into feeder in order to study on their therapeutic and preventive efficacy. The control article is FZJDS. Through a series of indexes such as the mortality, antibody titre of blood serum, index number of immune organ, masculine rate of antibody, change of bodies and histological changes, it can be identified that the effect the super powder is better than that of the traditional powder within the same dosage.Results of the prevetive action showed that the morbility of super powder in high dose group(1%)and moderate dose group(0.5%)are 26.67% and 33.33% respectively, and the mortality of these two group are 10% and 13.33% respectively. Compared with infected control group(the mortality is 46.67%, these two groups can obviously inhibit the morbidity and mortality of IBD, diversity is extremely significant(P<0.01). In the test of increasing weight, masculine rate of antibody action and injury rate of immune organ, the effect is obviously better than super powder of low dose group (0.25%)(P<0.05), and the effect is little better or same compared with powder control group(1%).
