| China is a large agricultural country. However, pest infestations breaking outevery year cause great damage to agriculture. Traditionally, to predict pests,agro-technicians will collect pest samples in the field and bring them back to analyzeand work out a report. Actually, there are many shortcomings of this method. Forexample, it’s very difficult and dangerous for agro-technicians to collect the data inthe areas of complex topography or in some place where the weather is terrible.Therefore, it can’t meet the needs of precision agriculture. With the rapiddevelopment of embedded technology and wireless communication technology, thereare more and more data acquisition equipments installed with wireless communicationmodule, which makes it automatic from data acquisition to wireless communication.Base on the features of data acquisition and sending in the wild, with theequipment and technology we have had, a data acquisition system for monitoring thepests automatically has been designed. Meanwhile, it has achieved remotetransmission and controlling of the data. The system uses STM32F103as the MCU.The field data is acquired by the digital sensor and saved in the TF Card. At last, thedata is sent to the monitoring center to display to predict the pests. The prime tasksand achievements of the paper are as follows:1. For the hardware, a data acquisition and transmission system based onSTM32F103is designed. Enough interfaces are reserved for function extension andsystem upgrading.2. A monitoring center for data transmission and remote control is designed,which can save the data from the data acquisition equipment in the database, and sendcontrol instruction to terminal equipment. It’s convenient for users to check any data from the equipment in the monitoring center. In this way, the researchers can make ascientific decision according to the tendency of pests.3. Some tests on data acquisition, data sending, data storage and remote controlare done in the paper. The tests show that the monitoring center can receive and sendthe data from the equipment and the system meets the qualification. |
