Traditional extensive way of agriculture management not only can not promote efficiency of agricultural production, but also bring about the great waste of agricultural resources and damage to the ecological environment. Now, with the development of information technology, the precise agriculture production mode is arising, and agricultural monitoring devices tend to be more intelligent. But there are still some shortcomings, such as, not take the insect damage into consider, the equipment control is not flexible, network is complex, transmission distance is not enough and the power supply time is not long enough.In view of this kind of situation, this article develop a fully functional pest control monitoring system which combines the IOT technology, It chooses the low-cost and high-performance STM32 chip as the processor, adding the peripheral circuit and is transplanted custom μC/OS-II system to realize multitasking management. The users are able to monitor information of farmland environmental conditions and insect pest without leaving home. Through the analysis of the data, farmers can predict the disaster and take the measures, so they are able to take preventive measures. Considering the widespread distribution of farmland and steep terrain, so system apply GPRS data transmission module for wireless communication. For its wide coverage, fast data transfer rates, long transmission distance, convinent network and low service costs,GPRS is very suitable for agricultural monitoring.The system is responsible for capturing data of environment temperature, humidity,light intensity, location, and number of insects at regular intervals, then sending these data through fixed format message and LCD will refresh the display device interface. At the same time, the system send these data in a certain protocol format to the server via mobile network. In the communication with the server, this thesis demonstrate the realization of the network connection and the establishment of communication protocol.The system supports the following three kinds of ways to get the collection of information as well as system settings, which making the device more convenient and flexible to control.(1) Entering the field site;(2) Via SMS instructions;(3) PC or other Internet devices logging in the website.The system has two different power source, one of the source is Lithium battery,another is the solar cell. By this way, it can save a lot of energy for monitoringequipment, so the Lithium battery life can be increased greatly. In the whole structure design, system can be installed simply.The test results show that the system can realize all of specific function, operate stable, low power consumption, good scalability and easy to use.
