This paper analyses the harvester cab based on the theories and methods of ergonomics.And the Entropy TOPSIS analysis is used to decide the sequence of various components inthe harvester cab. In order to enhance the safety of the harvester and improve the driver’scomfort and vision, this paper does many works, such as solving the problem of cab’s comfort,researching the H-point comfortable region of cab seat. The thesis mainly carries out thefollowing researches:(1) The paper analyses the components of the harvester cab based on ergonomic theory.And then the Entropy TOPSIS is used to get the importance sequence of various componentsin the harvester cab.(2) The paper analyses the layout of the harvester cab based on ergonomic theory. Andthen it introduces many layout tools’concepts and methods, like the size of the body, humanbody model, the angular range of physical activity, the first profile envelope, handencompasses the interface, eye oval, and so on. The application of these tools on harvestercab is also described.(3) According to analyze the traditional method, the multi-objective constraints methodfor H-domain is pointed out. This method can quickly and accurately identify the H-pointregion which meets the design requirements. Compared with traditional design methods, themulti-objective constraints method for H-domain is more efficiency, and the result is muchmore accuracy.It is significant to apply ergonomic theory and methods to harvester. Of course, theapplication would promote quality of harvester. It also could ensure the driver’s health. Thereare some other practical effects, such as shortening the development cycle, lowering the R&D costs.
