Analysis Of The Color Of The Application Of Color-Leafed Plants In Landscape Of Changsha And The Estimation Of The Scenic Beauty Of It

Color-leafed plants which can provide color for the city in flower-lacking seasons because of its bright color and easily forming large colorful plants scenery are attracting more and more landscape architects’attention. With the improvement of our living standards and the development of landscape architecture, color-leafed plants is playing a more and more important role in modern landscape architecture of our cities.Basing on the literature research and survey to the Martyrs’ Park, Tianxin Park, South Suburb Park, Ecological Park, Windows of the World, Wuyi Plaza, City Hall Plaza, Lotus’ Plaza, Wuyi Road, some campus as well as the communities in Changsha, the paper analyzes the present situation and color of the application of color-leafed plants in Changsha and makes an estimation of scenic beauty of it using the theory of botany, landscape architecture, color science, landscape aesthetics, landscape ecology and the method of qualitative analysis as well as quantitative analysis, which is expected to provide reference to rational and scientific application of the resources of color-leafed plants and the improvement of landscape architecture in Changsha. Main conclusions are as follows:Firstly, Color-leafed plants of89species, belonging to45families appear in highest frequency in the statistics of survey area. Among them, Loropetalum chinense var.rubrum, Acer palmatum ’Atropurpureum’, Prunus cerasifera ’Atropurpurea’, Cinnamomum camphora, Euonymus japonicus ’Aureo-marginatus’, Ligustrum×vicaryi etc are in highest amount. Autumn-color leafed plants apply more in arbors. Ever-color leafed plants and speckle-color leafed plants apply more in shrubs and herbs. Comparing with them, spring-color leafed plants apply little.Secondly, from the aspects of genetic characteristics, ecological factors and the visual environment, the paper sums up the influencing factors on the performance of color of the color-leafed plants and makes an analysis of the color of its application in landscape using the theory of color, revealing two typical problem in the landscape architecture of Changsha.Thirdly, taking the color-leafed plants suitable for Changsha area as an example and combining with the method of Scenic Beauty Estimation Procedures, it gets estimation conclusion from146evaluators to30representative cases and analysis the relationships between the plants’ color and the scenic quality.Lastly, basing on the conclusion, the paper makes a deep analysis to a typical case from the aspects of ecology and landscape and provides a rebuilding plan to it.
