Agriculture has always been an important means for human survival. In the contextof modern civilization, agricultural significance in landscape has come into people’sview. Different from the rough traditional agriculture, modern agriculture is obviouslyplaced in an advantageous position. Stimulated by various technical means, it isdistinctly superior in farm yield. Furthermore, being rationally planned, it demonstratesits unique importance in landscape as well as an aesthetic significance. In theconstruction of new countryside, it is needed to have a noticeable change in theappearance of villages and a higher level of production and mode of production. What’smore, new countryside construction should firmly comply with the concept ofsustainable development. Specifically, agricultural production should be combined witha vigorous development of tourism, including leisure agriculture and agriculturalsightseeing so as to increase the added value of production. In this way, agriculture isable to meet both people’s material needs and spiritual needs at the same time; a newrural ecology is therefore born.In recent years, town and rural development have gradually shift focus to thecombination between landscape agriculture and rural area construction, building leisureagriculture park, and further developing the rural tourism.This article based onagricultural of landscape value, from traditional agricultural to modern agricultural, thento landscape agricultural, summarized the features of each stage of its history and evenpeople’s aesthetics at that time; advocate that develop new rural construction from thelandscape agriculture perspective. In the mean time, it is also necessary to keep andcarry forward its traditional culture, and preserve the ecological environment in theconstruction process. Thus, the rural economic can be stimulated by the local tourism,the labor force also can be saved which is definitely helpful for the “three agricultural” problem solving.Finally, in this paper, landscape ecology, aesthetics, economics, and sociology arethe source based theories of the whole article, mizhi country, high xigoucun of NorthernShaanxi as a case study on object, further proposed high xigou agricultural sightseeinggarden design concept and planning principle, which set a good example for thesubsequent rural construction and development.
