Analysis To The Research And Design Practice Of Henan Traditional Commercial Street

Since the1980s, with the rapid development of economy and the globalization, the traditional commercial streets arouse people’s attention as embodiment of a traditional way of shopping and pursuit of cultural personality. At the same time, under the impetus of tourism development, antiquing streets also set off a construction boom in China as the continuation of traditional commercial street in modern society. Henan, as a major historical and cultural province, which traditionally commercial streets and antiquing streets get certain development. The author attempts to analyze and clear up the antiquing streets and traditionally commercial streets in Henan systematically through the research in order to provide certain reference for the relevant design work.In turn, the recognition of the importance of the research object gets improved through survey, combining with the analysis of the historical development process of it. Besides, the commercial streets are essentially important as the living fossil of Henan traditional culture and the product of specific era background. This paper summarises the local characteristics in the aspects of space, architecture and decoration of the traditionally commercial street in Henan, in the methods of analysing the formative factor of its regional features, such as climate, urban traffic, business model, behavioral pattern and so on. The author makes a survey about the condition of traditionally commercial street and antiquing street all over the province and classifies the historical cities as national level cities and provincial level ones. Then the author summarises the research results in the form of diagram, chart, analogy and so on. Through the research, this paper puts forward the existing problems of Henan traditionally commercial streets in the construction process and provides the protective measures in the future.
