At the end of1998, China’s total population has reached1.248billion,60years and older elderly population has accounted for about9.7%of the population. Since then China became an aging country,the rate of the aging population growth increased rapidly year by year.As the old age population is enormous in our nation, the"421" family structure leads to the proplems as"the aged in empty nest",or"people can not be rich before old", the endowment facilities will be supposed to be developed and satisfying in the furture. Endowment facilities construction at the present stage in China, however, many problems exist, such as imperfect system, endowment facilities mostly just stay on the hardware design and transformation, the lack of research on the demand of the elderly and exploration, etc. It is very important to learn from other coutries in the successful cases.At first, this paper adopt the method of data collection, establishing the modern living environment for the elderly, physical model size theory support, psychological state, physical characteristics, etc. At the same time, the development status and trend of Japan’s endowment facilities the induction and excellent case study analysis of the system. Then, through field research new endowment facilities in Japan, summed up the Japanese endowment facilities of hardware design methods. Finally, according to a community elderly in chengdu area endowment demand sampling investigation, summed up the old man the demand for old-age facilities software services, gives the suitable for China’s national conditions of endowment facilities design suggestions and comments, and based on the conclusion, carried on the preliminary design, the development trend of China’s future pension facilities put forward thought.
