The Creation Of Spatial Form And Architectural Features In New Urban Areas

At present, the process of urbanization in the world is advancing rapidly. The homogenization of the city has become even more serious, and the features crisis of the city is Spreading in the world. Particularly in developing countries, Urban Features and the spirit of the city is rapid demising. The city is become even more convergence in the space and function. In our country, who had colorful, unique city, is becoming more and more similar. The city, which had their own colorful characteristics, is becoming more and more similar. The phenomenon of "Thousands of city side "is getting worse. As a result, the character of city caused widespread concern.The focuses of this paper is locking on the architectural creation of new urban areas. The unique personality of the new urban area is created by the characteristics of urban spatial form and the characteristics urban construction. At first, the phenomenon of the characteristics crisis in the urban development is described. Especially in the background of rapid development of urbanization in China, the new urban area has the same image and lack of features. And then through the analysis of the connotation of urban characteristics and the instances of the new urban area at home and abroad, I summed the manners of creating characteristics of the new urban area. Finally, the paper analysis the instance of Jinan West Railway Station Area. The spatial form and urban architecture of Jinan West Railway Station Area were analyzed to identify the advantages and disadvantages of the existing planning by mining the characteristics of Jinan City and contrasting with the spatial form and urban architecture of Jinan West Railway Station Area.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction. The main contents of this chapter is proposing the loss of the city’s character, summarizing the research status at home and abroad and putting forward my own research. And then, a brief introduction about the progress of Jinan West Railway Station Area is written. The second chapter is the theoretical analysis, by focuses on the significance of the city’s character for the city and contents covered by the city’s character The third chapter contains several representative examples at home and abroad, including La Defense in France, Pudong New Area in China, and Zhengdong New District in China. The main content is presenting and analyzing the character of these new urban areas and pointing out the weak points. The fourth chapter is the analysis of the Jinan West Railway Station Area. Firstly the polarization of Jinan West Railway Station Area is introduced; secondly the character of Jinan city is introduced. And then through the analysis of the urban spatial form and the urban architectural features, the existing inadequacies were pointed out. The fifth chapter is the last section; the main content is conclusion of the research and pointed out the lack of the research.This article refines several ways to creating features of new urban area through the research of theory and example, evidenced by the example of the Jinan West Railway Station Area construction, and forming a perfect and mature theory to guide the planning and design practice of new urban area in the future.
